S7 Edge Screen Flashes Intermittently
Problem: My Galaxy S7 Edge’s screen has started flashing intermittently, yet when the screen locks the edge view is perfect but when you go to unlock it it has different colours down the edge and also along the top of the screen. The phone is only a few weeks old, it has not been dropped or got any water damage… I have tried all the tips I have read about on your page, thinking it maybe down to the nougat update but just wanting your opinion
Related Problem: The screen of my S7 edge is blinking or flickering. But only the lower half part. It doesn’t happen at all times. Maybe after a few minutes interval..
Solution: If this problem occurs intermittently then what you will want to do first is to check if a glitch in the phone software is causing the problem. To do this you have to follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. When in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this might already be a hardware related issue in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Screen Flashing Green After Drop
Problem: My phone has fallen and then i can not see anything on the screen because it is flashing in green. I need to reset the phone to delete my personal stuff, but I don’t know how to do it without using the screen. Please help me. Thanks
Solution: You will need to start the phone in recovery mode and if the screen works in this mode you can then perform a factory reset. However, if the screen still flashes green even in recovery mode then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Has Horizontal Line On Screen
Problem: So this line appeared half way up my phone screen horizontally across. The screen below the line flickers up and down while the top remains untouched. The main problem is unlocking the phone. the screen will flash a white light up to where the line would be on the screen and then goes black while you are still able to touch the screen as if it were on. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?
Solution: Right now you can troubleshoot if a software glitch is causing the problem. Try starting your phone in Safe Mode first. This way you can check if an app you downloaded is causing the problem. If the line does not occur when the phone is running in this mode then the problem is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the issue occurs even in Safe Mode then you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then this is most likely a hardware related problem already possibly caused by a faulty display assembly. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Screen Has Yellowish Color
Problem: screen doesn’t look white anymore. It’s more of yellowish color, vintage, oak white. Front or side screen. I noticed this after the software update. Im using samsung galaxy s7 edge. Thank you.
Solution: It’s possible that this problem is caused by one of the apps you installed possibly a theme or a launcher. Try using the default theme on your phone and try using the default launcher. You should also check your phone display setting.
- Launch the Settings Application
- Scroll Down and Tap on the Display and Wallpaper option
- Scroll Down Again and Tap on the Screen Mode option
- Try using the following settings Adaptive Display, AMOLED Cinema, AMOLED Photo, Basic.
If the issue is the same then check if it occurs in Safe Mode. If i doesn’t then the problem could be caused by one of the apps you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
One last troubleshooting step to consider is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Screen Flickers When Brightness Level Is Low
Problem: When the brightness of the screen is turned to the lowest or anything less than the highest. The screen starts to flicker and slightly black horizontal lines appear at the top of the screen and the rest is dark
Solution: Try turning off the automatic brightness setting of the phone as sometimes this might be causing the problem. If the issue persists then perform the following troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start your phone in Safe Mode. Does the problem occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache
- partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the problem persists after performing the steps listed above then this is most likely a hardware related issue already in which case you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
