S7 Edge Not Turning On Even If It Is Charging
Problem: Hi My phone worked fine yesterday it even charged to 100%. Apparently during the night it died so I attached to the normal samsung charger for fast charging and the battery shows the lighting bolt but it has been that way for 6 hours. It wasn’t dropped or got wet. I don’t understand and it’s very upsetting. The phone is linked to an email that I can’t get in from any other device. I need my phone to work, please help me.
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to remove the microSD card of the phone ( if one is installed) then simulate a battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If it doesn’t then try starting your phone in Safe Mode. If you can access this mode then you will be able to access your email. Aside from accessing your email you can also check what app you downloaded is causing the problem since only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Screen Is Flickering
Problem: This morning as I was on my way to work I gave my phone a bit of a squeeze and when I looked at it to check the time I see my screen from the bottom up flickering on and off and up and down. Now my keypad is covered.
Related Problem: The screen of My s7 edge starts flickering and have green and pink color is annoying me i tried couple things to fixe but no luck help plz
Related Problem: My screen looked like a scrambled fuzzy TV screen when the cable goes out and made a loud blaring sound. Then went black and made the sound again and finally turned back on
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to restart the phone. Once the phone has restarted observe if the issue still occurs. If it does then the next step is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Does the screen still flicker when in this mode? If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem your last option is to perform a factory reset. Take note that you will have to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
Should the issue still persist after the reset then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty display.
S7 Edge Resets On Its Own
Problem: My device, S7 edge (10 month old) suddenly started restarting on its on. After 2-3 cycles, it went off and won’t turn back on again. No LED, no port, nothing works. No sign of hardware key functionality. Reboot didn’t work too.
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that the battery has sufficient charge. To do this just follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Charge your phone for at least 20 minutes.
- If there is no charging indicator then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone charges from a computer USB port.
- Disconnect the phone from its charger then simulate a battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Not Opening Apps And Websites
Problem: My phone works just fine until recently. It won’t open certain apps and sites. It started with one app (pinterest) followed by another (vlive). The app would actually open but not load. And now I can’t access a site that I previously didn’t have problems with. Other random sites won’t open as well.
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to make sure that the phone is connected to a fast and stable Internet connection. If the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network the try to check if other devices can access the Internet while connected to this network. If you are using a mobile data network to go online then make sure that you have an LTE signal.
If the Internet connection is not causing the problem then it’s time to troubleshoot the phone. The first thing you should do is to start the phone in Safe Mode. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then I suggest that you perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing this reset.
S7 Edge Won’t Update
Problem: My phone won’t update. Samsung galaxy s7 edge Past 3 software updates wouldn’t work says update interrupted? Goes through the whole process of shutting down and then that’s the mgs that pops up
Solution: Try checking if you are able to update your phone using Smart Switch. This is a Samsung software which you install in your computer and is used to backup and update your phone. In case Smart Switch is still unable to update your phone then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset you should check for the update again.
S7 Edge Overheating Restarts On Its Own
Problem: My galaxy s7 edge is overheating and restarts every 30 seconds. Also, the home screen is pitch black and I am unable to use my keypad.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data. If this fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring this phone to a service center and have it checked as this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component.
