S7 Edge Keeps On Rebooting
Problem: my s7 edge keep booting for a yes or no all the time and i don’t know why. i cleaned the cash but i didn’t want to do a factory reset. the phone is only one year old. i followed the troubleshooting tips and especially the one dedicated to this recurring booting for the s7 edge. i noticed that it was booting alone after switching to another language and it did it too now even in safe mode! I’m lost and can’t figure out how to fix this. any tips? how to know which app could cause this problem? i have all the initial samsung apps too, should i desintall them?
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then I suggest that you remove it from your phone to check if this is causing the problem. If you don’t have a microSD card installed or if the issue still occurs even with the removal of the microSD card then you should consider doing a factory reset. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
S7 Edge Freezes Not Turning On
Problem: hi today my phone froze so i tried to switch it off by holding the power button and the volume key then i tried to reboot it it wasn’t coming on i have looked online and you-tube what to do i have tried everything and it’s still not on. i have plugged it into my laptop and when i hold the power button and the volume key i can hear it trying to come on but there is nothing just blank screen and it’s not showing that is charging neither. please help me i really don’t want to go into store.
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in the port is removed.
- Charge your phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger.
- If there is no charging indicator then try charging your phone from a computer USB port.
Once the phone charges disconnect it after 20 minutes. Perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.
In case the phone does not turn on then try to check if you can access the recovery mode. From here I recommend that you do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Moisture Has Been Detected Error Not Charging
Problem: Hello … I have a problem with my phone , This message “Moisture has been detected. To charge your device , make sure your charge/USB is dry.” is suddenly appear and then my phone doesn’t charge from charge , it’s just charge from my laptop USB , I clean the port and using hairdryer to dry the charge port and then I charge the phone and it’s charge (from 8% to 42%) and then it’s return to the it’s previous state and doesn’t charge … I took it to mobile repair workshop and there they said to me “we must replace the mobile base charging” but after they replaced it and put the mobile on charge the mobile charge for about 5 minutes and then it’s doesn’t take charge … after two days I put my mobile on charge and it’s charge from charger !!!!! , after that it’s sometimes charge from the charger and sometimes doesn’t
Solution: It looks like the problem could be caused by a faulty charging IC. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. You should also have the charging port of the phone checked as this could also be causing the problem.
S7 Edge Stuck In Android Screen With Yellow Exclamation Mark
Problem: I had planned on doing a reset on my S7 Edge. I pressed the Volume=Power+Home combo. The phone said it was applying update then went to a screen that said No Command. I chose the wrong command once in the reboot menu and it took me to a screen that was waiting for a “packet” to be sent. When the phone finally “failed to receive packet” it began to reboot and landed on an odd blue screen. The screen had the droid at a 45 degree angle with three dots in a line above it’s head with a large yellow triangle and an exclamation point in the triangle.(Like a wet floor sign.) The screen was frozen and I could not get it to power off until I read through one of your help pages and found the “battery pull” volume up and power button technique. (https://thedroidguy.com/2017/03/samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-freezes-boot-screen-issue-related-problems-1070775) Very weird and frustrating experience for me. Thank you for the help page.
Solution: A simulated battery pull is usually done if the phone freezes or does not turn off. When you perform this procedure what happens is that the phone will restart. We are glad to hear that this fixed your problem.
S7 Edge Randomly Stops Playing Audio And Video
Problem: For a few weeks now, my device randomly stops playing any audio/video that I am watching / listening to. Whether it be on the Music player app, Pandora, Facebook, Audible, Youtube; it just stops. At first my phone would randomly start playing music, even if it was just sitting there and i hadn’t touched it in a while, but now it just stops playing randomly. It happens when my device is just sitting there.
Solution: Try connecting your phone to a different Wi-Fi network then check if the same issue occurs. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by the Internet connection dropping.
In case the issue still occurs even if the phone is connected to a different Wi-Fi network then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the problem occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S7 Edge microSD Card Stopped Working
Problem: Hey there! So my SD card stopped working on my S7 edge but it’s perfectly fine on other device. I rebooted, restarted and did everything listed on the website but still no success. Please help me
Solution: Try using a different microSD card on your phone. If your phone still can’t read the card then you should try cleaning the SIM/microSD card slot with a can of compressed air. If this doesn’t work then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Bottom Half Of Screen Flickers White
Problem: My phone’s screen started flickering in the half bottom of the screen but it worked. After trying to reboot it several times it stopped working and the only thing that is shown is the half white flickering screen. The phone has not been dropped or water damaged.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. You can also do the reset from the recovery mode. In case this fails to fix the problem then the display might be faulty. You will need to have this checked at a service center.
