S7 Edge Gets Hot When Connected To Charger
Problem: I have a s7 edge 16 month old, 2 days ago my phone was in charging I checked my phone the home button of my phone was too hot, even I was not able to touch it. Immediately o removed from the charging and switch off for some time. Once I started I seen that phone was not charged. Again I connected with charger but it was not charging rest of the phone was working fine and smooth as usual. I tried from other charger I noticed within few seconds home button of my phone got very hot even you can not touch. When I given to the service center they are saying it will cost around 14k coz they have to change the display as charger connector is attached with display. Please guide me
Solution: If the phone gets hot when you charge it then it’s very likely that a short circuit is happening. You can troubleshoot this problem by cleaning the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. You should also try using a different charging cord and wall charger when charging the phone. In case the issue persists then you need to have the phone checked at a service center as this is most likely a hardware related problem already possibly caused by a faulty charging port. If the charging port is found to be defective then this can easily be replaced without changing the phone display.
S7 Edge Does Not Turn On
Problem: Hi there, I have a question to ask you guys. My phone, which is galaxy S7 edge, has a problem. I cannot turn it on. I have already searched and tried everything such as press buttons but it doesn’t work out, it still got a black screen and unresponsive. I need your help.
Related Problem: Hey ! Before 2 days ago i left my phone in charger and went to sleep .. when i woke up i hold it on .. checked it like every morning and then it shut off and won’t turn on .. i tried to do everything like hold the power key and volume down and else.. but nothing worked ! I left my phone and now after 2 days i tried to turn it on .. i put it in the charger and it turned on and stuck on the charger mood and shut off again :((( what should i do ??? Help me please..
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to make sure that the battery of your phone has sufficient charge. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to charge your phone.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a wall charger.
- In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord or wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
- If the phone charges then turn it on by pressing the power and volume down buttons for 10 seconds.
If the phone still does not turn on then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.
S7 Edge Black Screen With Blue LED Light
Problem: Hi, My S7 edge started to restart itself after updating some applications from play store. After wiping system cache from recovery mode and rebooting the device. It stayed at black screen with blue led light refusing to force restart (Volume down and Power button) or respond
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then from here perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If the issue still persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Bootloop After Rooting
Problem: Hey, there. I recently tried to root my phone using the odin method, but sadly I am left with the dreaded boot loop…..I’ve tried everything. I’ve Factory reset it and then selected the reboot now option….but it just goes right back into bootloop mode…..any help / Advice?
Solution: Your best option right now is to flash the phone with its updated firmware file using Odin. You can get this firmware file from the Sammobile website which is also where you can get the instructions on how to flash your phone.
S7 Edge Screen Is Flashing White
Problem: I was using my phone in class. I set it down for a second to take some notes. Picked it up a few minutes later to log into my Colleges site. Half of the screen is white and flashing at a ridiculous rate. I tried restarting the phone several times. Upon restart the bottom half flashes green and white mixed. The back panel of my phone had the thermal paste ( I think) coming off because the panel is peeling off on the one corner of the device (bottom left). The only thing I could think of because I had worked on a few phone repairs before ( exclusively iphones), was that maybe the ribbon cable from the motherboard to the LCD screen somehow became unseeded due to the back panel pulling farther away from the motherboard. but I would like a second opinion before I go taking off the back panel or hurting my phone. If you have any advice to give me that would be greatly appreciated.
Solution: If one side of the back panel is peeling off then there’s a possibility that the battery of the phone is bulging which might also be placing pressure on the display causing the flashing issue. If you know how to disassemble the phone then you should do it so that an inspection of the hardware can be made. I however recommend that you have the phone checked at a service center.
S7 Edge Freezes Screen Turns Black
Problem: Hello. Congratulations for your web page, it’s very complete and useful. My issue is this: I was using my phone normally, watching some youtube videos and using a bluetooth headset to listen the audio of it, when all of a sudden i receive a call and my phone freezed but started to vibrate non stop while on my headset i was hearing that im receiving a phone call, but i couldn’t do anything because the phone was freezed. I know that in cases like this the phone just restarts to start up more fresh but this time it didn’t. the phone was showing that it was restarting but it never started up completely. after showing the samsung logo, the phone just went black screen and no way to turn on even pressing all the buttons as your tutorial said.
i could feel that the phone was a little bit warm, that means the it didn’t turned off as well, so i waited until the battery drains out completely. after that i plugged the charger and it showed it was charging. i left it there until it reached a 30% and turned on. it worked for a whole day until it suddenly freezed again and went black screen again. this time i sent the phone to a technician that said he had to do a factory reset because he thinks it was a problem with the system software. i got the phone back, everything was ok but at the middle of the restoring process, it freezed again and went black screen again. in all the times the screen went black, i couldn’t turn it on at all. if i had to do a factory reset.. i could say that i tried everything, then what happened and what is the reason? thanks.
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing this as this might be causing the problem.
If the issue still occurs even after performing a factory reset then this issue is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing that you can do right now is to have the phone checked at a service center.
