S6 Touchscreen Stops Working

Problem: Touchscreen stopped working. Restart using power and lower volume buttons for 7 seconds does not work.

Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to check if the issue occurs after performing a factory reset. You can do a factory reset from the recovery mode. If you are able to backup your phone data before doing the reset then you should do it. If after the reset the issue still remains then your phone might already have a damaged digitizer. If this is the case then you need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Recovering Data When Screen Is Damaged

Problem: Hi, I dropped my phone from almost 2m. It fell on a corner and the screen broke. It also split from the main body from one corner. Since then, the buttons are not responding and when I try to charge the phone I see blue and white light flashing and no other response. I’ve tried connecting it with my Laptop but the laptop won’t detect the phone. Can the data on the phone be recovered anyhow?

Solution: If your computer can’t detect the phone then there’s no way you will be able to access the data on the device using Kies, Smart Switch, or even the computer itself. With the screen of the phone broken as well it will be more difficult to access the data now that there’s no way for you to bypass the security protocol that was set on the device. The best thing that you can do right now to gain access to your phone data is to have your phone fixed first at a service center.

S6 Has Green Dots All Over The Screen

Problem: My phone display is gone. It starts up, with green dotted screen all over. I can hear startup tune while booting. Also, after phone gets start, only I can see is some weird green dotted green, nothing else. But I can hear touch tone. Also, I can hear a message tone when message comes. Even Home button and back button seems to be working and I can hear their tone as well when I press. I assume my software is fine. Only problem seems to be a display. Please help me with this.

Solution: What you should do first in this case is to check if an app you installed is causing the problem. To do this just start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone is working in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If you don’t experience the problem in this mode then it is most likely caused by one of the apps you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

If however the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then your last option is to start the phone in recovery mode. From here you will need to perform a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data.

Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then your phone display might be damaged. You need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

S6 Stuck In Recovery Mode

Problem: Samsung Galaxy S6 stuck in recovering  mode with green android man. Tried all possible ways to reboot or turn off the phone with no avail.

Solution: To fix this problem you should first connect your phone to a charger and let it charge for at least 20 minutes. With the phone still connected to its charger try to turn it off by long pressing the power button. If the phone does not turn off then disconnect it from its charger then simulate a battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.

If the phone does not respond then you should try waiting until the battery gets fully drained as your phone will automatically turn off. Once the phone is off charge it first for at least 20 minutes before turning it on.

If the phone still gets stuck in recovery mode then perform a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.

S6 Stuck In Flashing Logo Page

Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy s6.  It is stuck at the logo page and is flashing.  If I put the charging cord in (plugged into electric outlet) it will continue with the startup.  I can use the phone while it is plugged into the charging cord.  If I unplug it, the phone goes back to the flashing logo page.

Solution: It’s very likely that this problem is caused by a faulty battery or power IC. To verify that this is indeed a hardware related problem you should troubleshoot the software side by doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the rest is complete and the issue still remains  you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Recovering Data when Screen Is Broken

Problem: My S6 screen is broken. I now have a S8. I can’t transfer anything. Is there a way to get my content. I saved everything on my phone and no where else.

Solution: Unfortunately, you won’t be able to retrieve your phone data unless the screen is working. What you should do right now is to have the display fixed so that you will be able to access your phone data.

S6 Screen Is Black

Problem: Samsung galaxy s6 had water damage, about a year ago.  It will charge and seems to be running in the background but the screen is black.  Can this be repaired?

Related Problem: Black screen on phones. The led lights come on.

Solution: The best troubleshooting step that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then the problem might be caused by a software glitch in which case you will have to do a factory reset from here. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data.

In case the screen still remains black even in recovery mode then it’s very likely that the display is damaged in which case you will need to have this replaced at a service center.
