S6 Freezes On Samsung Logo
Problem: I was using my stock, unrooted S6 as per normal, no new apps downloaded recently, when it suddenly turned off. It rebooted on its own but remained at the Samsung logo. I waited a couple minutes, then did a soft reset (power + vol down). My phone shut down, but booted up again immediately without me pressing anything and froze at the Samsung logo again. Couldn’t boot into safe mode and recovery mode, can only boot into download mode. Samsung smart switch doesn’t recognise the device. Tried using the Kies Firmware upgrade and Initialisation tool, and the firmware can be flashed to the device, but it still freezes at the Samsung logo. Flashed stock firmware successfully using Odin, but it still freezes at the Samsung logo when it reboots. Any fixes for this?
Solution: If you already tried to flash the phone with its stock firmware using Odin and the phone still gets stuck and freezes in the Samsung logo then it’s very likely that the problem is caused by a hardware component that is failing to work properly. To determine which component is failing you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Won’t Charge
Problem: Hi i recently sold a galaxy s6 on ebay, they returned it claiming it wont charge. So when pluged it don’t show its charging, but when i press power for 5 sec. Charging sign appears then shoes 0%. Once in a while it charges a little and pone can be turned on but dies in few seconds. Before selling phone worked perfectly and was reset for selling. Thanks
Solution: The first thing that you should do in this particular case is to make sure that the charging port of the phone is free from dirt or debris by cleaning it using a can of compressed air. Once this is done perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If it doesn’t then proceed with charging the phone. In case the phone does not charge then ty using different charging cords and wall chargers.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then the battery of the phone might already be faulty. Since this battery is sealed inside the device you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Not Turning On After Falling To Ground
Problem: Hello, my galaxy s6 fell a bit hard on the ground ( a fall of maybe 20 to 30 cm) while the battery was at 52% and when i tried to open it again, it just didn’t opened.. i’ve tried pretty much everything i could and the only thing i can do to open it is by pressing power, home and vol. Down together until a blue screen appears and tell me to download something, by pressing down volume again (cancel the download) it restart the phone and thus finally open… Ive tried factory reset at this point and i still need to do the three button to open. The charge is needed at all time, saying that the phone is plugged, 1h36 until full charge… But it wont charge, always at 0% even after a night plugged in… I’ll probably go see a technician, but i ask just in case if it happens to someone else.. thanks.
Solution: It looks like some component might have loosened its connection when the phone was dropped or there’s also a possibility that a component has been damaged by the drop. The best thing that you can do in this case is to have the phone checked at a service center.
S6 Keeps On Rebooting Gets Stuck In Samsung Logo
Problem: my samsung s6 keeps rebooting and it gets stuck on the logo page and then it starts again. After a while, it vibrates and comes on. I can hear the notifications of my messages and when I even called the phone it rang but the screen was totally blank. it’s been like this for a while. Please what can I do to fix this problem. earlier on when it was getting stuck all I did was remove the battery and let it rest a while and then I put it back on and it works fine, but not, that isn’t even working anymore
Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to check if a software glitch is causing the problem by starting the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then I suggest that you perform a factory reset from here. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. Once the reset is complete restart the phone.
In case the screen still remains black when the phone is started in recovery mode or if the issue still occurs after the reset then we might already be looking at a hardware related problem. If this is the case then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Not Charging
Problem: My phone won’t charge. I can turn on and restart normally (only for seconds though cuz my battery is dead) but when plugged into a microusb cable it won’t say that it is receiving any charge and battery doesn’t get replenished no matter how long i have charging. I think it might be hardware drop or water damage but I don’t know how to fix that.
Solution: What you should do first in this case is to clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. Once this is done charge your phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger. Make sure that this cord and charger has been tested to work on another device.
In case the phone does not charge then check if it is able to do so from a computer USB port. If your phone charges this way then one of the pins of the charging port might be damaged. You will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then bring your phone to a service center and have it checked as the problem could be caused by a faulty battery.
S6 Does Not Turn On
Problem: I have a Galaxy s6 that does not turn on, when I plug it in, it does not light up showing that it’s charging. I’ve tried all the different cycle and reset options I could find. No luck getting it to show any kind of life but nothing has happened to it that would cause it to be a hardware issue. Any suggestions?
Related Problem: I left my samsung galaxy s6 for about 5 minutes and when i tried using it again it was all black and now i cant turn it on again . It doesn’t show the red light when i put it in the charger and i have tried a factory reset and everything but nothing comes up on the screen . What should i do?
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to charge the phone by following the steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger.
- If the phone does not charge then try charging it from a computer USB port. If it charges this way then the charging port might have a damaged pin.
Once the phone has sufficient charge perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Stuck In Boot Cycle
Problem: Galaxy S6 is stuck in boot cycle. I have done a hard reset and wiped the cache, did a factory reset, but it kept rebooting no matter what. I can’t even turn it off unless the battery runs down.
Solution: You should consider flashing the phone with its updated firmware file using Odin. You can download the firmware file from the Sammobile website which is also where you will be able to get the instructions on how to flash your phone.
If the issue persists even after flashing your phone then this could already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
