S6 Edge Will Not Turn On Unless Charged
Problem: My Galaxy S6 edge will not turn on unless it is charged. I have changed the battery at a repair store – following the troubleshooting advice. However the problem is still the same. The touch screen works well but only when its charged
Solution: If the problem persists even after replacing the battery then this issue could be caused by an internal component that’s failing to work, most likely the power IC. Bring your phone to a service center that specializes in board level repairs and have it checked.
S6 Edge Started A Boot Loop
Problem: S6 edge. Started a boot loop. Did a cache clear didn’t help. Safe mode didn’t help. Factory reset now it won’t turn on because it says Android is starting Optimizing apps Get to 24 out of 32 and shuts off. Not always 24 depends on speed but time seems to be the issue not an app. Not 100% on software acted like it was updating when the trouble started. Also had screen, headset speaker, and battery replaced at batteries plus. About 4 hours before it started the boot loop it lost all cell input only wifi worked. B+ opened it up and said everything look hooked up.
Solution: It’s very likely that this is a hardware related problem already since the factory reset failed to resolve the issue. You mentioned that some components of the phone were replaced. This could give us a clue as to what’s causing the problem. I recommend that you bring this phone to a service center that specializes in board level repairs and have it checked.
S6 Edge Doesn’t Turn On
Problem: Hi, I have a Samsung s6 edge. It doesn’t turn on and I can’t open the safe mode or recovery mode. I let it for recharge. In the last 2 days the battery level was not real and now it doesn’t respond at all. I really want to save the picture with my kid. I ordered a new battery. Do you think it will work or what I have for chances to recovery my picture. I have over 3000. I hope you can help me. It is my last hope. Thank you
Solution: If this issue is caused by a faulty battery then replacing it will fix the problem and you will be able to access your photos. If however the issue still persists even when a new battery is installed then the problem could be caused by a faulty power IC. You will have to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked. Your photos will still be accessible even if the power IC of the phone were to be replaced unless a factory reset is done in which case all data in your phone will be erased.
S6 Edge Will Not Charge
Problem: S6 Edge, wouldn’t charge, was plugged in & kept going down. Did a quick power on & off, ended up dead. Finally made it to Sprint Store – he plugged it in & said he pushed the volume down, power & that button on the bottom in the middle & it started right up, so acted like I was good to go, go home & charge it since I had 0% battery. They had me trying just the power & volume down button over the phone & he said need to press that other button as well. Get home, nothing is working – HELP!! Not even your tips… I need to go out of town tomorrow & need my phone working! I don’t know my Android version.
Solution: Try cleaning the charging port of your phone first using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. Charge your phone for at least 20 minutes using a charging cord and wall charger that is known to work. If the issue remains then it’s possible that the phone might have a faulty battery. Bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Stuck In Samsung Logo
Problem: Two nights ago my phone was working fine with charge on the battery (it is 12 months old & in perfect condition). The next morning it was completely dead so I plugged it in to charge without any success. When not on charge the phone only displays…SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 EDGE POWERED BY ANDROID…It is just blinking that statement and then no response. If I put it on charge, I get the battery symbol doing the same thing. I was able to get an upgrade through my carrier but desperately want the photos off this phone and unfortunately they are not backed up anywhere. Thoughts…
Solution: You should try starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the phone starts in this mode then you can backup your phone data by connecting the phone to a computer with Smart Switch installed.
If you are unable to start the phone in Safe Mode then try doing a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both the power and volume down keys for at least 10 seconds. If all goes well your phone should restart.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should check if the phone can start in recovery mode. If you are able to access this mode then you should do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
S6 Edge Won’t Power On
Problem: have a galaxy s6 edge. It shows charging icon the charge light works in the left corner of display screen but it won’t power on. I’ve tried all the reboot scenarios but none worked it’s never been wet but has been dropped. Any other suggestions would be great it’s out of warranty so I’m up for anything. I have the back off checked all connections too. HELP!!!!
Solution: Have you tried starting the phone in recovery mode? If the phone starts in this mode then I suggest you try doing a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If you are unable to access the recovery mode then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
