S6 Edge Plus Charges Very Slowly

Problem: s6 edge plus.  I had to perform a hard reset on this phone because it kept rebooting and restarting over and over.  That fixed that and I recharged the battery; started to reload apps with phone still on charger and charging paused because it said battery was overheating. Meantime the battery drained to 30 % while reloading to 0%.  I tried to go to folders and clear up any app windows that may have been open and found my folder and back button not working.  Now I have cut off the phone and it seems to be trying to charge super slowly.  Any advice?

Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset and some issues still occur on the phone then it’s possible that this is already a hardware related issue. The slow charging issue of the phone however can be fixed by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
  • Try charging the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger.
  • If the phone still charges slowly then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. Make sure that this charger has an output rating of 2.0A.

If the issues persist then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Not Detecting Wi-Fi Network

Problem: I galaxy s6 edge plus. When I switch on wifi it doesn’t detect any network until and unless I sit close to wifi modem (2-3 feet) then it detects network and when I connect it also detects other networks from my neighborhood. Then if I move to another room away from router it remains connected. Issue is only when I try to connect first time after switching wifi on no network detection from distance more than 3-4 feet. Please help resolve this issue

Solution: This could be caused by some software glitch. Perform the following troubleshooting steps listed below then check if the issue gets resolved.

  • Forget the Wi-Fi connection from your phone then restart your phone and the router. Connect to the Wi-Fi network then check if the issue still occurs.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then this could already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Plus Media Volume Goes Mute

Problem: Hi, I just got a Samsung Galaxy s6 edge + and I did a hard reset just after buying it to be sure that everything was just like if it got out of the package, but I notice that after a while the media volume suddenly goes mute and does not allow me to turn it up. If I reset the phone it comes back but after a while it disappears again. I’m not sure what to do, could you please help me

Solution: Try doing a factory reset again but this time do not install any apps in your phone once the reset is complete. Check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then we could be looking at a hardware related issue. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Plus Power Button Damaged After Drop

Problem: A couple days ago, I dropped my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. The power button stopped working. I’m unable to wake up my phone. I’m thinking the button is stuck but I’m not sure. The power on, restart, and emergency mode pop up every now and then. I’m not sure how to fix that. Can you please help me out! Thanks!

Solution: Try pressing on the power button then check if it will get unstuck. If the issue persists then try spraying the power button with a contact cleaner which you can purchase at any electronics store. After spraying the button press on it repeatedly again. This will clean the power button contacts. In case the issue persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Plus Email Notification Is Silent

Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. I have different notification sounds for text and emails. This is my 2nd S6 Edge Plus and it will not allow me to setup a notification sound for emails. My email notification reads ‘Silent’. Every attempt to load a notification sound changes the current default sound. I had different sounds for text and emails on the 1st 6 Edge Plus I owned.

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to check the email notification settings of the phone.

  • From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  • Tap Email.
  • Tap Menu.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Manage accounts.
  • Tap your email address.
  • Select Notification sound

Once you have selected the desired notification sound try to check if the issue gets fixed. If it doesn’t then proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the issue occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S6 Edge Plus Not Turning On After Drop

Problem: i have been upset i have dropped my Samsung s6 edge in painstaking and i have my wedding pic and  other pic on there .my phone wont turn on due to being dropped what can i do to save my pic

Solution: You could try charging your phone first for at least 20 minutes and with the phone still connected to the charger check if it can turn on. If it doesn’t turn on then you will need to have this checked at a service center.

S6 Edge Plus Back Menu Buttons Blinking After Software Update

Problem: As soon as I downloaded the recent update for my Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, the back and menu button began to blink rapidly. This led to my phone’s touch screen to no longer work properly. I can’t use the keypad to unlock my phone nor turn off my phone to restart it.

Solution: The first thing that you need to do right now is to simulate a battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons until the phone restarts. In case the issue persists then you will have to perform a factory reset from the recovery mode. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
