S6 Edge Keeps Freezing

Problem: Hi recently my father said the phone just got hang when he was using it.So I rebooted it using power and volume down and it restarted. But after that it started hanging every day.I couldn’t use anything on that phone but just make calls, do anything else and it will surely hang. Then with a friends recommendation I installed a custom rom from Xda developers using odin and twrp. At first it worked well. But then again the phone started to hang.after the last time it hanged the phone didn’t pass the boot screen and went blank. Then I installed stock rom from sammobile but the problem is still present. what should I do?? I would also like to add that my father used this phone very roughly and when I shake the phone front and backwards the camera module makes weird noise

Solution: Since you already tried flashing the phone with a custom ROM and a stock ROM yet the issue still persists then there’s a possibility that this could already be a hardware related problem. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Is Not Charging

Problem: My samsung galaxy S6 edge is not charging. Particularly, it appears the picture of the lamp when I connect the cable but after a few seconds the screen becomes black and it doesn’t charge. Right now the phone has 0% battery, but earlier when I was turning it on it was perfectly working. The cable works for another samsung. Do I still have hope?

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck  in this port. Once this is done perform the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Charge the phone using a wall charger.
  • Try charging the phone using a different charging cord and wall charger.
  • Try charging the phone from a computer USB port.

To turn on the phone you should press and hold the power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds.

If the issue persists then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing to do in this case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Screen Is Black

Problem: Hi. One day when I woke up my phone screen was cracked. The screen continued working but then one day, it had a line and that line got bigger. After, the screen turned black and stared flashing. Now, I can’t see my screen (when I press a button it just flashes) and the phone doesn’t connect to the PC either. What should I do?

Solution: You need to have the display of the phone replaced at a service center since it is already physically damaged. Once this is done the phone will most likely turn on and work normally.

S6 Edge Does Not Charge Above 86%

Problem: Hi, After I changed the battery of s6 edge, it won’t charge more than 86% also after 50% it charge very slowly. I have sent it to service but they couldn’t fix the problem. After that I tried all your advices and finally I also reset in factory settings, but still I’m having the same problem. Could you please help me to fix the problem. Thank you in advance.

Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the issue still occurs then there’s a possibility that the problem is caused by a faulty battery. I recommend that you have this battery checked at a service center and if it is found to be faulty you need to have it replaced.

S6 Edge Not Turning On After Drop

Problem: I’ve had my s6 edge since first week of release. I brought it off a friend smashed up (of course I repaired it, changed screen, charging port, wireless charging pad, frame, middle chassis and home button flex). It worked brilliantly except for a slight overheating issue. Last year I dropped my phone and smashed the screen, took it apart and replaced the screen but this time no charging light, no sign of life at all. I put it on my wireless charger (red light means only power to pad, blue and red mean battery charging) and it shows blue and red light but no light on the phone. I replaced the battery and still the same issue. Any ideas? By the way… Holding power / volume up or down / home don’t do anything. No booting into safe mode, no booting into recovery and definitely no sign of life

Solution: It’s likely that some internal component of the phone is damaged, possibly the power IC. The best way to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem is at a service center as they will be able to thoroughly check the device.

S6 Edge No SIM Error

Problem: Got Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. This is not T Mobile version and had been unlocked. Phone worked last week and suddenly got Sim Error and No Sim. The text message is still working just cannot make any phone call.

Solution: Try removing the SIM from your phone and insert it in another device. Check if the issue occurs when the SIM is inserted in another phone. If it still occurs then you should report this to your carrier as the IM might have a problem.

If the issue does not occur when the SIM is placed in another device then it’s time to troubleshoot the phone by following the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Make sure that your phone is getting a good network signal.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • If the issue still occurs in Safe Mode then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try checking first if the issue still occurs.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Ringtone Plays In The Background While On A Call

Problem: Every time I use my Galaxy S6 Edge to receive or make a call, after about 30 seconds my ringtone starts playing in the background. Switching down media/notification/sound levels do not have any effect.

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to make sure that the phone is running on the latest software version. If it already is and the issue persists then perform the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then an app you installed might be causing the problem. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
