S6 Calls Sound Muted After Nougat Update
Problem: I have recently upgraded my S6 to the latest android version nougat i think. My calls now sound muted and fuzzy and music playing has an intermittent crackle or skipping. Any help gratefully received.
Solution: If you noticed this problem occuring right after you updated your phone software then it’s possible that it is caused by some form of old software data that has not been completely removed during the update process. When this happens the tendency is that this old data will cause a conflict with the new software version resulting in various issues such as this. What you need to do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs then proceed with installing your apps.
S6 Touchscreen Is Malfunctioning
Problem: Samsung Galaxy S6, SMG920T, rooted. Yesterday I noticed touchscreen malfunctioning-it was barely responsive, some grey dots (noise) appeared on the screen. Today it is not responsive at all. Also there is a green vertical line on the right side of the screen. Did factory restore, noticed that the green line line is still present while in recovery console. Presently the screen is not responsive, the volume, home and power keys are function
Solution: Since you already performed a factory reset with the issue still occurring then this might already be a hardware related problem possibly caused by two factors which are namely
- A defective digitizer which is making the screen unresponsive.
- A defective display causing the lines and grey dots to appear.
The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked. It’s very likely that the whole display assembly will have to be replaced.
S6 Can’t Update to Nougat
Problem: My Samsung Galaxy S6 can’t update to Android Nougat. The update download is complete, the installation starts with a blue screen and the android logo, but stops at 32% and restarts. Then, it informs about an error. Compilation: MMB29K.G920FXXS5DQA1
Solution: There’s a possibility that the problem is caused by insufficient storage space in your phone or a glitch in the phone software. What you will want to do in this case is to first make more room in your device by uninstalling apps that you don’t regularly use. You should also backup your personal files such as photos, videos, and music then delete them from your device. Once you have freed up some space try doing the update again. If it still fails to update then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do the update again.
If the above steps fails to update your phone software then you should consider flashing your phone with its updated firmware file using Odin. You can download the firmware file of your phone from the Sammobile website where you will also find instructions on how to flash your phone.
S6 Stuck On Samsung Logo
Problem: My Galaxy s6 is froze and when I try to hard reset it, it stays on the little Android page or the Samsung Galaxy s6 page
Solution: Try checking if the issue still occurs when the phone is connected to its charger. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by a faulty battery or other internal component. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
In case the phone still gets stuck in the Samsung logo even when it is plugged to its charger then try doing another round of factory reset from the recovery mode. You should also wipe the cache partition of your phone in this mode.
One last troubleshooting step that you should consider is to flash your phone with its updated firmware file using Odin.
Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Unauthorized Actions Have Been Detected Error
Problem: Continually get updates about “SECURITY NOTICE” and unauthorized actions have been detected. Also every time I try to update to the new software it tells me that it gets interrupted after loading all 1493.mb downloaded onto the device. I still can’t get the update. After trying four times. And factory resetting my phone twice. I bought the device UNLOCKED.
Solution: The unauthorized ations have been detected error message that you are getting is caused by the Knox software in your phone that has tripped. You need to update your phone software to fix this problem and since there is also an issue when you try to update your phone then try using Smart Switch to install the update. If this fails then you should consider flashing your phone with its updated stock firmware file using Odin. You can download the firmware file of your phone from the Sammobile website where you will also get the instructions on how to flash your phone.
S6 Alarm App Not Working After Software Update
Problem: Hello my boyfriend recently did an update on his phone and now he can not get his alarm apps to work and he needs those so he can wake up for work on time. I am not sure what I can do to help him. If you can help me that would be greatly appreciated.
Solution: There are several things that needs to be checked for the alarm to work
- Was the alarm properly set?
- Is the volume of the phone loud enough?
- Is the alarm tone audible enough?
If you answered yes to all of the above then try simulating an alarm by setting it a minute or two after now. If the alarm does not sound at all then this might be caused by old software data causing conflict with the new software. What you need to do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S6 Space Left After Update
Problem: Hi. i want to update my galaxy s6 software but i’m concerned about the space which is gonna be left for me so i don’t know if i should update or not!
Solution: You will still be getting almost the same storage space that you have prior to the upgrade after the update has been performed. It’s always best to update your phone software as this will introduce several improvements on your phone.

- Open Smart Switch.
- Click on More.
