my phone did the same ,but i took it to a shop and they said the phones turn on chip or something is broken on the defected models (the ones which turn on and off constantly),and the update could of caused it.

Sorry to say, while other phone can last more than 3 years or even 4 years and above.
Based on my experience on Samsung phone however, never have any phone that lasted more than 3 years.
I am extremely dissapointed with Samsung phone. While they’re introducing new product aggressively however the phone built quality is doubtful.

No I am going to jump ship, no more Samsung after 3 x the dissapointment.

Note 4 Does Not Power On After Update

Problem: My phone did an update and restarted and never powered back on. I have tried every reset that is listed. I have went to AT&T, three different repair shops. I got a new battery still nothing. I really need to get my pics and videos off my phone, so I can return the phone. Thanks for any help!!!

Related Problem: I did the 6.0 marshmallow update and once it was complete the phone wouldn’t power up north show charging. No lights or anything come on. Bought new battery also.

The solution given by your team does not work. The phone will not allow me to get into recovery mode, it is totally bricked. The discharging etc. does not work. The solution is to make or buy a usb jig to force the phone into download mode and then connect the phone to a PC and use Odin to flash a new rom onto the phone.
