A5 Keeps On Restarting When Locked
Problem: Hi guys, I have a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017. Since one week, every time the phone is locked (always on display), it just keeps restarting again and again. That means every time I am not on my phone and I press the power button to close my screen when I’m not using it, it restarts alone. I cannot close it in the night or even at work because it would just restart. I tried to reset it (hard reset) and the problem is still there. If you have any idea of how I could solve this problem it would help me, since I do not have enough money to buy a new one. Thanks guys and have a nice day.
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing this as this might be causing the problem.
You also need to check if a software glitch is the culprit by doing a factory reset from the recovery mode. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once this is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try checking first if the issue still occurs.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.
A5 Stuck On Boot Logo
Problem: So a week ago my phone went into a boot loop I took it to the best buy store and they said they couldn’t do anything for it. I ended up resorting to factory resting it. Last night My phone wasn’t opening up the “clock” app I needed to set an alarm for my exam this morning. When I tried to restart my phone it went through the first two loading screens, Samsung galaxy A5 and Samsung, then it got stuck on the Samsung loading screen. I have tried clearing the cache and removing the micro SD card. Nothing seems to be able to get my phone past that. I would greatly appreciate some help thank you
Solution: For this issue I recommend that you connect the phone to its charger first and let it charge for at least 20 minutes. With the phone still connected to the charger try restarting it then check if it fully boots. If it doesn’t then disconnect it from the charger and perform a simulated battery pull which is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. In case the issue persists then you should try starting the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will delete your phone data.
If the above steps doesn’t fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
A5 Randomly Working After Getting Wet
Problem: Hi, recently i dropped my phone into the toilet (unlucky me!), i left it to dry in rice, my model is a A5 and the battery is irremovable. Till now, the power and home button only work sometimes, lets say about 30% of the time. My phone also randomly kept opening voice search (as if water was still lodged by the fingerprint bit, and my fingerprint doesn’t seem to work as well) . I managed to get rid of the problem of voice search launching every other second by uninstalling the updates . However, the phone randomly opens internet and also i see the rectangular grid appear is if the phone is doing a screenshot and as if the buttons do work. The phone likes to go back and also open internet whenever, usually it only happens when i start using the phone more, then i get stressed about the functional problem and then put my phone down! While my phone was drying , it was unresponsive (i gave it about 18 hours to dry and i launched it once during those 18 hours just to check if it could turn on, (at some point it was stuck in odin mode and downloading something? i’m not too sure). then it ran out of battery, i did not put it on charge, i left it in rice. The next day i went to the phone shop and the buttons seemed to work, so i came back home, happy! But later that day is when the symptoms in the above paragraph began occurring. I know there’s a chance of water damage especially as the battery hasn’t been replaced, but i am looking forward to hearing from you as to how i can fix this. Many thanks
Solution: Unfortunately it appears that the phone has already suffered from water damage. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring this to a service center and have it checked.
A5 Screen Is Black After Drop
Problem: I dropped my Samsung Galaxy A5 on the floor. The screen went black, but the phone is working. It rings if called, for example, but it will not display anything at all. It is all black and touch is not working too. I need to know what to do to my phone. I need help! Thanks in advance for your care.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch by starting the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then I suggest that you do a factory reset. This will delete your phone data.
In case the display does not work in recovery mode then the drop might have damaged it. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
A5 Not Connecting To Wi-Fi
Problem: I tried all troubleshooting that was given, nothing worked. my samsung galaxy A5 2017 wont connect to the wifi internet. i just have the phone 2 months, if you have to fix it remotely, so be it. PLEASE I NEED HELP NOW. REPLY NOW. THANKS.
Solution: Does the problem occur when you try to connect to different Wi-Fi networks? If it is only on one network then the specific router could be causing the problem. If however the issue occurs for any network then proceed with the steps listed below.
- Restart the phone then check if the issue still occurs.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the issue occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
