  3. Hey.
Tried all steps but the phone is still stuck on boot logo.

And it says directory can’t be mounted….
    What does it mean??

    Any leads????

  4. I perform the factory reset but only get part of the way thru..

    I turn off the device.
Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up key, Home key, Power key.
When ‘GALAXY Note II’ appears on the screen, I release the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key.

At this point instead of Recovery screen appearing, the ‘GALAXY Note II’ disappears, screen is blank black for maybe 5 – 6 seconds then ‘GALAXY Note II’ reappears maybe 3 – 4 seconds then blue swirl and Samsung logo appears briefly followed by audible 3-note tune then screen is briefly filled with animated colored balls (or bubbles) dropping onto white ‘Rethink Possible’ screen, then continuous pulsing bluish haze ‘SAMSUNG’ over white on black screen.

I gotta pull the battery to switch it off.

Tried holding Volume Down with Power and Home keys but that brought up a Warning re downloading custom OS.

  5. GI recently had this issue I couldn’t get my Samsung galaxy note 2. To stop restarting without taking the battery out. I couldn’t get it to recovery mode. Nothing worked .. So after looking online YouTube hours of videos. I saw a video of a person banging there power button of the table I tried like a idiot after that I unscrewed the phone, took it all apart to get to the power button. I done this as temporary as I needed this phone on to get my data off it.
    1 put your charger in
2 wait until the logo samsung galaxy appears or battery logo display
3 disconnect the power button from the motherboard whilst the phone is on samsung screen or battery logo (carefully)
Your Samsung should start like normal

Only down side is you have to mess around to switch the phone back on once it’s off but you will find a video on that online.!
You can buy a replacement power button part from eBay around £2!!
    Hope this helps

  9. I’m having an issue with my phone being stuck on the Samsung starting logo. After several attempts to get to the recovery mode (all of which failed), my phone seems to have died. I’ve tried to charge it and will see if a different charger will work. However, it seems to have become stuck. Please let me know if you have an idea as to what happened or what to do.

  10. Hi,

I am trying to go to the android recovery console but no luck getting there. The phone is stuck on the same Samsung logo screen.
Is there any other key combination i need to press in order to get to the android recovery console?

  11. Hi.
Done all the above factory reset and cache partition thing.. yet stuck.in same logo screen.
Any other guide to reboot normally?

  12. Well, I did everything all webside said.
Hold buttons and remove battery and remove sd card and…
But I get a message nobody else has!!!
If I remove the battery (for example) and put it back in, close the back, push power, volume up and menu button, it starts with an Android figure and the text “Downloading… Do not turn off tartget!!”
It’s now more then 1 day just downloading… nothing I guess.
No solution for this I think because can’t find a sollution on the web.

  13. After trying the above methods phone is still bricked.

I was able to get to the recovery console but cache wipe returns E: this that and everything else failed and unable to locate….as if the os wiped somehow.

I have 10 years of up to date contacts and the past 4 months of texts critical to care of demented parent stuck on that phone.

Have tried kies to access the file system with no success, phone detected but inaccessible.

Does anyone have a non data destroy to be way to get at that info?

    Help help help please!
