S7 Edge Call Cannot Be Heard
Problem: After I have updated my galaxy s7 Edge yesterday, during call there are repeatable interruptions which last about 5 seconds each. During this time I can not hear or be heard. That issue makes it impossible for me to make a call with my phone anymore. When I make a call with viber there is no problem. I have tried factory reset with no result. Before update the phone was perfect. I have android 7. Could you please tell me if there is something I should do in order to fix it or if this is some kind of bug that is going to be fixed in a future update? Thank you in advance for your time…
Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset which does not fix the problem then you should proceed with the additional troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Make sure that the volume setting is set to its maximum level. During a call press the volume button of the phone then on the phone screen you should tap and drag the call volume bar to the end.
- Check if a new software update is available and update your phone accordingly.
- Contact your service provider and inquire if there are any network related problems that could be causing this issue.
- Start your phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the issue persists then you should consider flashing the previous firmware version to your phone using Odin. You can get this firmware file as well as the instructions on how to flash your phone from the Sammobile website.
Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Call Keeps Dropping
Problem: Samsung galaxy S7 Edge calls go silent for 15 to 20 secs at the beginning of the call or during the call. Also lots of call drops… Samsung know of issue but won’t admit there is a huge problem.. many people are experiencing this issue… Am not sure why national press are not running this story.
Solution: The first thing that you should do is to check if the problem occurs only in a specific location. Try going to a different area then check if the call still drops. If it doesn’t then this could be a network related issue caused by a signal problem. You need to contact your carrier if this is the case.
If the problem still occurs even in other locations then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then this could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S7 Edge Not Registered On Network Error
Problem: I’m having no signal issue with my samsung galaxy S7 Edge from yesterday, it detects sim, read contacts etc etc but shows ‘not registered on network error’, it was doing well before. Recently about a week ago i changed it’s charging strip. I’ve checked my imei and it’s fine, changed 3 or 4 sim cards, no response. Help me out please.
Solution: Do other devices have a signal in your area? If they don’t then this might be caused by a network outage. In case other devices have a signal then the best thing you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete check if the phone has a signal. If it still does not have a signal then you should bring this to a service center and have it checked.
