S7 Black Screen Of Death
Problem: Hello there, I’m having a black screen of death issue on my samsung galaxy S7 but if I restart the phone it temporary works and I have tried these… I have hard reseted my phone and tried to monitor the apps and used it on stock everything, updated and with a launcher but nothing…I have soft reseted my phone more than i can remember and it actually made it worse because it doesn’t work immediately like it used to. If it doesn’t work after restarting then I leave it till i hear a notification or it makes the lock screen sound and it works but just temporarily because if something covered the ear piece or the sensors near it while the display is off it wont turn on again and sometimes even if nothing was covering it and left overnight sometimes it wont work and sometimes it will even if it’s being charged or not. ive tried gently slamming every part of the phone but nothing…help?
Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to first check if this is a power related problem by connecting the phone to a wall charger. Leave the phone to charge then observe if the screen turns black. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by a faulty battery. If the screen still turns black then this could already be caused by a faulty display. In either scenarios you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Screen Is Black
Problem: I am writing you concerning a phone I inherited. This phone is a S7 , I don’t know the carrier or what software it has. The phone itself seems like it’s in good condition but the screen is just completely black. I’ve tried a few soft resets and charging it to see if anything happens. I know it works because it will make a message sound occasionally, as well as make the turning on noises. I can even swipe across the screen and get a few different noises but still the screen is black with nothing showing. There is no visible cracks on the screen and even nothing like scratches, cracks, or misuse anywhere on the phone. The top left light blinks blue and sometimes red when charging. The go back arrow light up as well as the bottom left screen button. If you can do anything I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then the problem could be caused by a software glitch. You will need to do a factory reset in this mode if this is the case. Take note that the phone data will be erased in the process. In case the screen still remains black even in recovery mode then the display of the phone might be defective. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as it’s very likely that the display assembly will have to be replaced.
S7 With Cracked Screen Not Working
Problem: So I have an S7 phone and for about a month now it has been “broken” and I just said oh well and put it away. For a while after I cracked it, it was just cracked and worked perfectly fine. Then the screen would slowly turn blue more and more every day. Then these little squares would randomly pop up and the screen would have little lines all over it. Eventually when I would try to power the phone on, the screen would be black, but you could tell it was supposed to be on. Is there anything I can do about this problem?
Solution: Right now the best thing that you can do is to have the display assembly of the phone replaced at a service center as it is most likely damaged already. You can however try to start the phone in recovery mode and if the screen works in this mode then you should do a factory reset as the issue could be caused by a software glitch. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
S7 Not Turning On After Drop
Problem: The problem with my phone is I dropped and it won’t turn on. and I’ve tried everything, but it’s not turning on at all. When I tried these steps I always felt various vibrations and saw a light from the two buttons on the bottom and a blue LED light from the top. The screen still remains black. I need help to fix this. Please help and thank you!!
Solution: For this particular problem you should first check if the issue is caused by a battery that has been drained. Connect your phone to its wall charger then let it charge for at least 20 minutes. With the phone still connected to the charger try turning it on. In case it doesn’t turn on then the drop might have damaged a component. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
