The #Samsung #Galaxy #S6 is just one of the many smartphone models available in the market that has a security policy that protects the data of the device in case the phone is lost or stolen. This is what’s called as the factory reset protection which works by requiring the phone user to enter the last Google account used on the device once a factory reset is performed. One of our readers is having this particular problem on a phone that was given to him which we will be addressing today. We will also tackle the other software related problems that have been sent our way.

S6 Bypass Factory Reset Protection
Problem: Hello my friend gave me their old phone and I tried resetting but now I’m on the frp . They do not remember their account and I looked up ways to bypass it but the phone when connected to any of my computers isn’t readable. All it does is charge
Solution: The best way to bypass the factory reset protection is to enter the correct Google account that was used on the phone before the reset was performed. In case this information can’t be retrieved anymore then there are other methods that you can still perform to bypass the FRP. These methods work by exploiting some of the weaknesses of the security feature however Google is quick to release patches that plugs these holes so a method that might have worked last month will not work this month. I suggest that you search for the current method that can bypass the FRP from Google then perform the suggested procedure. Take note that the procedure may or may not work so you might have to try various procedures.
S6 Not Charging Volume Low After Getting Wet
Problem: A can of coke spilled on my phone and the speaker when ringing someone is very quiet as you can barely hear the caller and also the phone wont charge. I have tried various chargers. Other than that the phone works perfectly. Any ideas how to fix my phone? Its a samsung galaxy s6. Cheers
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that the phone does not have moisture inside. Turn off your phone then place it in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside of the phone. Once this is done turn on your phone then check if any of the issues that you are experiencing with the phone still occurs. If it does then perform the steps listed below to fix the problem.
- Clean the speaker hole and the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in the port and speaker hole is removed.
- Try charging your phone using a different charging cord and wall charger that has been tested to work on another device.
- Check if your phone charges from a computer USB port. If it does then one of the pins of the charging port could be damaged. Have this checked at a service center.
- Make sure that the volume level of the phone is set to maximum. Check if you can now hear calls better.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then the liquid might have damaged some components inside the phone. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
S6 Rollback To Previous Software Version
Problem: I took the latest software update on my samsung galaxy s6 phone and it is horrible. How can I go back to the previous version? The current android version I have is 7.0 with the android security patch level of may 1, 2017
Solution: The latest Android version ( which is Nougat) is supposed to make your phone perform better. If you are having issues with your phone right now I suggest you perform a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete and you are still not satisfied by the way the latest update works then it is possible to revert the software back to its previous version ( which I assume is Marshmallow). There is however no way to do this automatically so you will have to do this manually. All of the things that you need to revert to the previous software version can be found at the Sammobile website. You will get the instructions on how to flash your phone as well as the old firmware file of your phone.

- Tap Settings, then Application Manager.
- Swipe to the left to choose All tab.
- Scroll down to find TouchWiz and tap on it.
- Tap Clear Cache then tap Clear Data

S6 Bluetooth Turns On And Off
Problem: I have a galaxy s6 t mobile and when I turn on the Bluetooth it automatically starts turning on and off by itself, I thought the nougat update would have fixed this but I still have the the same problem. I’ve tried factory resetting my phone, safe mode and a lot of more things and still haven’t found a fix for this
Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset which doesn’t fix the problem then it’s likely that this is already cause by a faulty hardware component which in this case is the Bluetooth chip. You need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Frozen After Not Completing Update
Problem: My phone did not complete the update and is frozen. I have followed all your steps but have not been able to get it back on. Please help!
Solution: What you should do first in this case is to perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If the issue persists then you should start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that your phone data will be deleted in this process.
If a factory reset fails to fix the problem then you should consider flashing your phone using Odin with its updated stock firmware file. You can get the firmware file as well as the instructions on how to flash your phone from the Sammobile website.
Problem: I been trying to update my galaxy S6 for a while now and my phone keep saying update temporarily unavailable and not to mention my phone is an Straight talk and my android is stuck in 5.O . My phone doesn’t show system update on my phone when I go to About phone and I really want to update my phone to the new version please help me..
Solution: You can try to update your phone by connecting it to a computer with Kies or Smart Switch running. If the software is unable to update your phone then your other option is to manually flash the updated firmware file. You can get the firmware file as well as the instructions on how to flash your phone from the Sammobile website.
S6 Is Getting Hot
Problem: Every time I use my phone it’s getting so hot and I can’t even hold it without burning my hand. The soft reset hasn’t worked and I want it sorting
Solution: You will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in you phone. Try to check first if the problem still occurs. If it does then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component possibly the battery. You should then bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
