S7 Edge Camera Failed Error
Problem: My Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge gives me a warning when I open my camera or Snapchat. It says ‘Camera failed’ and then the camera closes. I tried to restart my phone and deleted the cache data in Settings and via the way by pushing the volume button, power button and home button. None of these things worked. Do you have another way to solve this problem? Kind regards
Related Problem: when running camera its happening “Warning camera Failed” and when clear cache memory everything is OK until i want just take self picture ” front camera” happen again but it isn’t any problem with back camera. Its started since i update android software. Thanks.
Related Problem: When trying to open the camera i get the message: “Warning: Camera Failed”. It won’t work with any app and I have tried all the troubleshooting you have suggested apart from a full factory reset. I haven’t dropped my phone or put it in water or anything the camera just suddenly stopped. I’ve had the handset about 7 months.
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to clear the cache and data of the camera app from the application manager as sometimes this problem is usually caused by some corrupt data in the app itself. Once this is down try checking if the issue still occurs. If it does then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode. Check if the issue still occurs.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely caused by a faulty camera assembly. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Photos Turn Orange When Sent
Problem: Hello, i have a galaxy S7 Edge i just got,and it’s great the only thing is that i notice is that when i send a picture it changes the color of it and turn it orange. Can you please help me i would really appreciate it
Solution: Are the photos taken orange in color in the Gallery app or are they normal in color? If they are normal in color then the app that you are using to send the photos might be applying a filter on the photos turning them orange. You should try clearing the cache and data of the app from the application manager. You should also check if the issue occurs when the phone is started in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t occur in this mode then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. You should also consider doing a factory reset on your phone to fix this problem. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
S7 Edge Camera Photos Have Spots
Problem: I’ve realized that photos and videos i captured (on both front and rear cameras) were having some spots like dust/contamination. These were captured under low light or night shots with the camera focusing on incoming lighting. Similar to my previous phone i’ve sent in to Samsung service centre (SC) to have the dust removed inside the casing/camera. After the servicing, realized problem still remains and sent in another time to SC. They make a warranty claim on new rear camera replacement but problem still persists. 3rd time visit to SC whereby the technician mentioned this is due to lens flare. As far as i know, i’ve taken numerous night/low light shots few months ago but didn’t encounter such. Only recently have such high issues. Did comparison with other phones and results were random….some better quality shots than mine and some are worse. Could it be hardware design flaw here or does a new firmware able to fix this issue?
Solution: If the problem only occurs when the phone is taking photos in low light conditions then this could possibly be caused by lens flare. This can usually be resolved by taking photos with good lighting conditions. You should also check if a new software update is available for your phone as this might come with camera improvements.
