Note 8 Stuck In Samsung Logo
Problem: Hi, I am having problem with my phone that it will never finish the turn on process which it keep launching in the second stage that show “samsung” on the screen with blue notification light. My phone remain this stage until it death due to low battery. I tried to wipe the catches & reboot but still same condition. And by this condition, I cannot get into safe mode as it just stop at the second stage. However I haven’t try to reset to factory mode and I wonder is it the last way I can try? Thank you very much for any help!
Solution: Does the phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then remove it first. Since the battery is low on charge I suggest that you charge the phone first for at least 20 minutes then start it in recovery mode. From here you will need to perform a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data. If the issue still persists after the reset then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. You will need to have this checked at a service center if this is the case.
Note 8 Shuts Off With Battery Power Left
Problem: Phone works fine as long as it’s connected to power, but shuts off suddenly without warning when battery still has 30%, 50%, sometimes even 80% of power. However, the above symptoms occur maybe 70% of the time; at other times, the battery wears down until the 15% warning displays. When charging with a normal charger, battery comes up to 100% very quickly… maybe within 75 minutes. Not sure if this is normal. Have performed soft reset . Have also performed hard reset phone to factory specs, then replaced apps, etc. I’ve cleaned charging port on phone but battery dying early symptoms persist. It occurs to me that it’s possible that my original battery is worn out and that my battery is defective.
Solution: Since you have already performed a factory reset then it looks like the problem is either caused by a faulty battery or power IC. The best thing that you can do in this case is to have the phone checked at a service center.
Note 8 Not Turning On After Getting Wet
Problem: I have a galaxy Note 8 that got wet for 15 seconds tops. I had it in my pocket as we waded through some water. As soon as we got out I realized it and removed it from its case and wiped it down. The phone was working when I did this. I thought it would be okay, but when I tried to use it later, the phone wouldn’t respond. No vibration, led, nothing. I assumed it was because it was wet. i let it dry for three days and tried it again. Nothing, so I assumed maybe the battery is dead. I plugged it in and still nothing but the backlight (for the flashlight) flickers. I immediately unplugged it, and now I’m scared to try anything else.
Solution: Although this phone has a waterproof feature it is still possible for the device to get water damaged. What you should do in this case is to place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done the next step is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port. Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger then try turning on the phone. If it does not turn on then this could be caused by a water damaged internal component. You will need to have the phone checked at a service center if this is the case.
Note 8 Battery Drains Fast After Software Update
Problem: I have a Samsung Note 8 and it was working perfectly fine until the past two months. Now I have battery issues. My battery gets drained without the phone even being used. I have to charge my phone at least thrice a day. I do not have a microSD card. As per my observation, these issues started after downloading the last few Samsung updates.
Solution: If this problem occured right after a software update then this could be caused by some old software data that has not been completely removed and is now causing a conflict with the new software version. This conflict will usually cause issues such as this. To check if this is what’s happening right now you need to backup your phone data the do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then the battery of the phone might be causing this problem in which case you will need to have this checked at a service center.
