J3 Stuck On Samsung Logo
Problem: Hello, I hope you can help me. My J3 switched off by itself. I tried to switch it on again but the white Samsung J3 logo keeps flashing on and off. I removed the battery and put it back again. As soon as the battery is in, the white logo appears and flashes again. I saw your advices on the net and followed the following steps :
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the following three buttons at the same time: Volume Up key, Home key, Power key
- When the phone vibrates, let go of the Power key but continue to press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key
But the J3 logo keeps on flashing. It does not vibrate despite Steps 1 and 2. When I plug the charger, it shows the grey battery which is not filling up at all. Can you please help me ?? thanks a lot.
Related Problem: hello. last night my phone suddenly restarted and while rebooting it got stuck on the samsung logo screen then it kept on restarting again and again and getting stuck on the logo screen afterwards there was this black screen with blue led light only and i tried various options but nothing working. it remained stuck there. after an hour the logo screen came up and then it remained stuck on that logo screen with blue led light. after few hours there came only the black screen probably the battery got drained and now the phone is not even getting charged, even if i connect to charger no charging sign is shown. what should i do?
Solution: What you should do in this case since your phone has a removable battery is to remove the battery and microSD card ( if one is installed) then press and hold the power button for a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear its RAM. Reinsert just the battery once this is done then turn on the phone. If the issue persists then try charging the phone by following the steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a wall charger.
- In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
- Turn on the phone.
In case the issue persists then try starting the phone in recovery mode then from here perform a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data.
If the above steps don’t work then I suggest that you bring this to a service center and have it checked.
J3 Battery Draining Fast
Problem: My J3 battery was draining extremely fast (never changed the battery). It lasted about 5 hours when 4G or Wifi is turned on without me using the phone at all. The greatest use was maybe viber. Then I bought a new battery and there was an improvement but was still pretty bad. I made a backup and factory reset the phone .Then restored the backup for like 5 hours (via usb). Unfortunately my phone did not look like it looked prior to the reset. I needed a few hours to restore it back to the state I was used to. The battery life is still not great, like what I remember when I bought the phone, but significantly better. I suppose when I bought it there was no 4G and I was not using MS Outlook etc. Any tips will be appreciated. I believe this is a good article. The phone is still great – it’s fast it looks good etc
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it. Once it is removed backup your phone data again then do a factory reset. This time though do not restore the data and do not install any apps in your phone. In case the battery still drains quite fast and this is already a new battery then the problem could be caused by a faulty hardware component. I suggest that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
