J3 Not Turning On Unless Battery is Removed First
Problem: In July 2017 .. I got a Samsung galaxy J3 .. and since I’ve bought it .. I’ve been facing a major issue with it When the battery reaches 15-20% .. it drains in seconds .. and the phone gives the sign of no signal ..and this kept increasing until sometimes the phone shuts down at 30-40% I replaced the battery with a copy battery “not original” and nothing changed Until in december 2017 I’ve bought an ORIGINAL battery .. and all of this never happened again , but an another issue appeared Sometimes the phone suddenly shuts down “although the battery is charged” and it never turns on again unless I remove the battery and put it again in the phone or I plug it in the charger I’ve replaced the battery with an another ORIGINAL battery and nothing changed I’ve tried a software update via ODIN but also nothing happened Some people say it is a software issue and it needs a NEW software to be flashed on the device .. other people say that it is a hardware issue in the the power ic in specific I don’t know what to do Help is appreciated .. thanks in advance
Solution: It’s very likely that this is already a hardware related problem most likely caused by a faulty power IC. You can try doing a factory reset to check if a software glitch is causing this problem. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. In case the issue still persists then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it repaired.
J3 Keeps On Restarting
Problem: I got this galaxy j3 earlier today (literally 6 hours ago) and it has restarted 12 times in the last 40 minutes without me using it, or even touching it, at all. I tried the soft restart. My battery is in all the way, i shut down all of my apps and there’s nothing else I can think of that would make it do this.
Solution: Do you have a microSD card installed in the phone? If you have one then try removing it as this could be causing the problem. I also recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will have to get a replacement phone as this should still be covered by the warranty.
J3 Not Turning On
Problem: Hello Droid Guy! I really need your help with my phone. I was using my phone until it got drained and immediately shut down on its own. I tried charging it but to no avail. The screen was completely black and it won’t respond to anything I would do to it. I recently updated it to Android Version 7 and I guess the update has something to do with it. I hope you’ll be able to help me. Please help me fix my phone. Thank you for taking your time to read this message. It really means a lot.
Related Problem: Ok I’m not sure if this is what cause it but i hook up my phone to my laptop about a week ago and that’s when all the problems started so at the time i didn’t think that it had anything to do with it. so it started to stick a bit then my calls would drop so finally I gave it factory reset it and it work for a couple of days even though that the part where you make call was in the color black then yesterday i turn it off to charge and after when i went back to turn it on it did not come on..
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge by following the steps listed below.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its charger.
- In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also try charging the phone from a computer USB port.
Once the phone has charged try turning it on by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. If this doesn’t work then I recommend that you start the phone in recovery mode then from here perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
If the above steps fails to work then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
