S6 Edge Keeps On Restarting

Problem: hello sir, i have samsung s6 edge. i have purchased this phone in BAHRAIN but last 1 month i have problem with s6 edge its keep restarting. In s6 edge android version is 6.0.1 but i have updated 7.0.1 but again i have facing same problem. Its keeps restarting again and again. Right now I am very upset. please help me.

Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to check if an app you installed is causing this problem. To do this you will have to start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If your phone does not restart while in this mode then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

In case the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then you will have to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This way you can check if a system glitch is the culprit. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try checking first if the issue still occurs.

If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this might already be a hardware related problem possibly caused by a faulty battery or power IC. If this is the case then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Gets Stuck In Samsung Logo Screen

Problem: Hi I have samsung s6 edge .it works perfectly. But if I want to restart it, it goes off but when it comes on it gets stuck on 1st screen where either say samsung galaxy s6 edge . that says on until late battery runs out . it doesn’t change nor any button works .how can I fix this

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now for this particular issue is to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this procedure will erase your phone data.

In case the issue still persists even after the factory reset then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Randomly Switches Off Not Turning Back On

Problem: HELLO, my Samsung edge s6 randomly switched off yesterday and hasn’t turned back on since. I put the device on charge yet there was no indication that it was actually recharging (No lights) I left overnight and the phone is still not turning on. I have tried your steps advised such as holding the power button and volume key, but still nothing. I have also used a different charger and still nothing. Please help

Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular problem is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris that could be stuck in this port. Once this is done perform a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding both the power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If it doesn’t then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its charger then turn it on.
  • If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. Charge it again for 20 minutes before turning it on.
  • You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port. If the phone charges this way then one of the pins of the charging port might be damaged. You will need to have this checked at a service center.

In case the issue persists then this could already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Camera Can’t Record Videos

Problem: Hi, the issue I’m having with my camera is that it wont let me record videos even though the phone has a lot of free space. When I touch the record button it does nothing. Also when I go to camera settings on the rear camera settings (Picture Size, Video Size and Tracking AF) it seems like they are disabled or something because I can’t change any of those and the color of the font is more a light gray than black like it is on all the other camera settings. I would like to link a screenshot so it is easier for you to understand what I’m saying but I can’t. Please, help me!

Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to make sure that the phone is not running in Easy Mode.

  • From the home screen, swipe left.
  • Tap Easy settings.
  • Tap Easy Mode.
  • Tap Standard mode.
  • Tap Done.

If the phone is already running in Standard mode and this problem still occurs then the next step is to clear the cache and data of the camera app from the application manager. This way you can check if a corrupt data in the app is causing the problem.

You should also check if an app you downloaded is causing this problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.

One last troubleshooting step that you should consider performing if the above steps fail is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then the best thing to do is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S6 Edge Won’t Charge

Problem: Hello my Samsung galaxy S6 edge won’t charge it just shows that lightning bolt with no number on it so I don’t see any progress on the charging bar and I’m thinking I may have to get a new phone. Please help

Solution: The first thing that you will want to do in case your phone does not charge is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Problem: Hello guys, so my galaxy s6 edge won’t update from lollipop. Is there something that can be done aside from downloading a custom OS? Thanks for a prompt response. Thank you.

Solution: There are several conditions that your phone must meet in order for it to get the official software updates.

  • Your phone must not be rooted.
  • Your phone must not be running on a custom software
  • If your phone has been unlocked then it should be running on its original network in order for it to access the update servers.

In case your phone meets the conditions listed above and no new update is available then you should try to use Smart Switch to update your phone. It’s also best if you perform a factory reset first before updating your phone. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

If the above steps fails to update your phone then you should consider manually flashing the update.
