The #Samsung #Galaxy #Note5 is one of the older generation Note models that is still being widely used today. First released in 2015 as the successor to the Note 4, this model now features a non user removable battery due to its use of a glass and metal body. The other outstanding features of this phone include its 5.7 inch Super AMOLED QHD display, octa core processor with 4GB of RAM, 16MP rear camera, and a 3000mAh battery. Although this is a solid performing device there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy Note 5 stuck in AT&T logo screen & other related problems.

Note 5 Stuck On AT&T Logo Screen
Problem: Hi – so, while using VR on my Samsung Note 5, it froze. I managed a restart, and it shows the Galaxy Note screen, then the AT&T logo, then the bottom keys on either side of the home key light up and that’s it. If I press the power key to get it to show the front screen, only those bottom two buttons light up and nothing else. I can hold the power + vol down and it’ll cycle through the opening and end up at the same spot. I can connect it to my computer and have backed up the files through that. All the suggestions I see online tell me to turn it off before trying other things (like a factory restart), but I don’t know how to turn it off completely, only reboot it with power + vol down. I’m now waiting for the battery to drain to try the factory reset again, but any ideas/suggestions would be most welcome. And sorry, I don’t know it’s current OS.
Solution: You should try pressing and holding the power button for a couple of seconds until the phone turns off. Once the phone is off you can now start it in recovery mode then from here perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
If after the reset the problem still occurs then this is most likely a hardware related issue in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 5 Shuts Off When Battery Reaches 50%
Problem: On my Galaxy Note 5 when the battery gets to around 50% sometimes slightly lower the phone dies and the battery drops to zero percent. I purchased another battery and still does the same thing because I love the phone but this is driving me crazy!
Solution: It’s very likely that the problem is caused by a faulty power IC. the best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 5 Keeps Freezing Is Unresponsive After Software Update
Problem: Hi good day… i have a samsung galaxy note 5… an i realised after i updated it my phone keeps freezing… becomes unresponsive and keeps restarting for itself… i got 2 updates since that occurred an it still never stopped… i tried soft reset.. factory reset… deleting cache and its still doing the same thing… could you please help me out… thanks
Solution: You could consider flashing the previous software version to your phone. You can get the previous firmware from the Sammobile website which will also have the instructions on how to flash your phone.
In case the issue still remains even when your phone is running on an older software version then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 5 Forgotten Google Account After Factory Reset
Problem: My daughter put a password on our spare note 5 that she’d use to play on that is no longer in service…she forgot it and so I ended up pushing the volume, power and middle button to factory reset it…Well that backfires because now I can’t figure out what Google account we flipping used for this….I tried mine but it won’t let me in:. I just need to know if there is some kind of loophole around to this.
Solution: The phone is protected by the factory reset protection feature right now which means that you will need to enter the correct Google account information to gain access to the device. You can try to ask your daughter for this information. In case she has forgotten the account used then you will have to try the various FRP bypass procedures which are available online. I can’t recommend a particular procedure since this will depend on what software version your phone is running on.
Note 5 Stuck In Bootloop
Problem: Hi, i have a galaxy note 5 ,the phone wont go past a start loop where the phone powers up gets to the samsung galaxy writing then goes off straight away and then keeps doing this until. I’ve tried all the normal start reboots by pressing the volume ,home and power button ;the phone comes on with the blue boot writing in the top left corner and Samsung writing but then the phone switches off and comes back on switches off then comes back on again and keeps doing the same thing ,the only time it stays on is on the custom boot screen where you press the volume button to continue or cancel ,I’ve ever go any further and just cancelled so I don’t mess the phone up, I’ve put a new battery in but it just does the same thing, power up go off power up go off,I have no idea how to fix it ,please help; regards. I don’t know the Android version but had to pick one in the drop down to continue same thing for the drop down.
Solution: You should try starting the phone in recovery mode then from here perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If this does not fix the problem then this might already be caused by a hardware component that is failing to work properly. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 5 Battery Drains Fast
Problem: My note 5 is 2 years old my battery drains really fast.My battery is fully charged when i sleep while wake up it drain nearly 30 and more percentage.I factory reset my mobile for 2 times and i did safe mode troubleshoot and cleared cache files. Please help me to solve this problem
Solution: It looks like the problem is already caused by a faulty battery. I recommend that you have the battery replaced at service center. This should fix the problem.
Note 5 Randomly Turning Off
Problem: I have a note 5. My battery recently went bad. It began to swell. During this time my phone would reach 45% and just turn off. Had to charge it. Then it started randomly turning off. When restarting I sometimes got a android man and an error I’m rebooting. I eventually got a new battery. The problem with turning off when I reached a certain % disappeared. But the random turn off has continued. Tried soft reboot, deleting cache . Nothing has worked. All the apps on my phone were the same ones there before this started happening. Can you please help me stop this random turn off.
Solution: You should try doing a factory reset to fix the problem. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If after the reset the issue persists then this could be caused by an internal component that is failing to work properly. The best thing that you can do is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
