Well for starters, when this model was released three years ago it was a highly anticipated phone that had top of the line specs back then. Until this day the phone can still perform quite well and with the constant software updates it is getting it has solidified its status as a stable Android phone. Although this phone is quite reliable there are instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. In this latest installment of our troubleshooting series we will tackle the Galaxy Note 4 unfortunately my sprint has stopped working issue & other related problems.

Note 4 Unfortunately My Sprint Has Stopped Working
Problem: Keep getting pop-up every few seconds “unfortunately my sprint has stopped”then have to hit ok button to proceed.Have never used this app was installed already with phone and will not let me uninstall. Did try a soft reset like recommend above and still keeps popping up no matter what i’m doing on phone.Any suggestions appreciated.Thank you in advance and will definitely be bookmarking your site, just from what I’ve already read and looked at this seems like one of the most easy (especially for some of us that’s not that technical)and helpful sites. Solution: The My Sprint app is usually pre-installed in Android devices that are locked to the Sprint network. What this app does is it allows you to easily manage your Sprint account. A quick check over at the Google Play Store however shows the recent negative reviews left by phone users. It appears that several people are also experiencing the same issue that you have right now which is an indication that an update to the app is causing the problem.
To fix this you should uninstall the app update from the Application Manager. If this doesn’t fix the problem then try to disable the app.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should consider doing a factory reset. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset as this will erase your phone data.
Note 4 Can’t Send Or Receive MMS
Problem: I been having trouble with sending and receiving mms messages. I tried all the steps you have on your page but still it’s not working. It it’s a flash phone from verizon to cricket. Also another problem im having its when trying to call someone it always tell me that the International number i’ve dialed it’s not with my plan but it’s not an international number it’s local i hope u can help me. Thank you
Solution: There are two things that you need to check on your phone which can affect the way your phone sends and receives an MMS.
First, your phone should have an active mobile data subscription. Unlike regular text messages the MMS will be sent and received using a data connection.
Second, your phone should have the correct APN settings. The settings for Cricket are as follows.
- Name: internet
- APN: ndo
- Proxy: Leave it blank
- Port: Leave it blank
- Username: Leave it blank
- Password: Leave it blank
- Server: Leave it blank
- MMSC: https://mmsc.Cricketwireless.net
- WAP Gateway: proxy.Cricketwireless.net
- MCC: 310
- MNC: 150
- WAP Gateway port: 80
Note 4 Does Not Start
Problem: My Note 4 had always had a problem turning on, I’d press the power/home button and my screen wouldn’t light up for another 2-5 seconds. I wasn’t concerned with the issue whatsoever, I just found myself unlucky as I received the phone from a second party, until one day at work. I had tried turning on my phone, but it was taking longer than usual to unlock, but the lcd screen and the buttons besides the home button both lit up. I found that the phone was being responsive, but the screen was black. I performed and soft reset and turned my phone back on and it lit up fine, but and soon as I put in my key, it went black again, but was still responsive. At the moment, my phone is still responsive, but there is no back light unless the phone is turned off and it shows that the battery is charging. Sometimes it’ll show a quick moment, but then be off completely. I was able to perform a factory reset, as the screen will work when using the system settings, but then it turned off again as soon as the reset started. What could be the problem?
Solution: Since you already performed a factory reset we can then eliminate any software related glitches that could be causing this problem. The next step to consider is to replace the battery with a new one.
If the issue persists then this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component. You will need to have this checked at a service center.
Note 4 Needs To Be Restarted To Use Mobile Data
Problem: I’m having issues regarding my samsung note 4. I always restart/reboot in order for me to use my mobile data and it won’t last for such a long time, just a couple minute. Phone’s OS is still Lollipop. So, i’m wondering, is it my phone that is defective or my sim… Thanks for the help.
Related Problem: My 4G data goes off all the time. I’ll have full service and it just goes off. I turn on airplane mode then turn it off again and my 4G will come back on. I’m so tired of it. I also turn the data off then on again and that will sometimes get it back on.
Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to check if a software glitch is causing this problem. To do this you need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then try to use another SIM in your phone.
Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then this might already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Overheats And Lags
Problem: My Samsung Galaxy note 4 suddenly overheat and begin to lag. After the lag I can’t touch the whole screen, it doesn’t respond to my touch but it does with my s pen. I tried to power off and after turning it on certain part of the screen still doesn’t respond to my touch. It’s the upper part about 1-2 inches from the top. I can’t scroll down the notification bar as a result. I already tried diff solution i found on youtube videos but nothing works. I would really appreciate you help. Thank you.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset check if the screen is now responsive. If it only works using the S Pen then your phone might have a damaged digitizer. You will have to bring this to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Freezes Randomly Shuts Off
Problem: I have the note 4. And it’s been freezing on the main page. I’ve also had it shut off randomly even though the battery isn’t dead yet. The recent time it did it, a screen popped up saying that it couldn’t do that he normal boot and with a bunch of other stuff like that system status. On the screen it also says mmc_read failed. And in the middle it has the green Samsung guy and under it it says do not turn off target!! I don’t know what the target is.
Solution: What you should do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
In case the issue still occurs then it’s likely that the software of the phone is corrupt. You should consider flashing the phone with its updated firmware file using Odin. You can get the firmware file as well as the instructions on how to flash your phone at the Sammobile website.
Should the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
