Note 4 Only Starts When Battery Is Removed
Problem: When ever my note 4 restart or the power of battery is finished it does not start again and i have to just keep removing and inserting battery again and again and pressing power key to start it again for whole day. it is impossible for me to restart my mobile normally. please help me. its is N910G
Solution: There are two things that you should do in this particular case to fix this problem. You can start with any of these two.
Verify if the battery is causing the problem by replacing it with a new one. Sometimes if your battery becomes faulty already issues such as this can occur which is why you should check if this is the culprit.
Verify if a software glitch is causing the problem by performing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet instead you should check first if the issue still occurs.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then it’s very likely that this is caused by a faulty power IC or other internal component. The best thing that you can do in this particular case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Not Displaying Anything But Still Working
Problem: Hi, My note 4 one day stopped displaying anything. It’s still working because it receives calls and vibrates now and then when i get messages. It wont display anything on startup either so cant use it at all. The day it stopped working it got a little wet from rain but nothing that would stop the screen working day as it was just a little light rain when i had to make a call for 5. It worked for hours afterwards then at the night stopped. Any suggestions?
Solution: It looks like the display might have been damaged by the rain. What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that there is no moisture inside the phone by drying it. Place it in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. When you do this make sure to remove the battery, SIM card, and microSD card. After 48 hours test if the issue still occurs. If it does then you should check if the display will work in recovery mode. If it works in this mode then the problem could be caused by a software glitch in which case you will need to do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this might already be caused by a damaged display which will need to be replaced.
Note 4 Does Not Start
Problem: I have two phones both set up with exactly the same info 2 months ago I purchased a spare and backed up one phone and transferred it to the other as a spare for me to go away just in case now both phones are dead I used the samsung software to do the backup if that is any help. It started with crashing and randomly switching off now nothing at all
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to check if some software glitch is causing the problem since both phone do not start after one phone acted as a backup to the other. Perform the troubleshooting steps listed below on one of the phones that you have.
- Remove the battery and the microSD card of the phone ( if one is installed). Press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear its RAM.
- Reinsert just the battery then try turning on the phone.
- If the phone does not turn on then charge it for at least 20 minutes. Before charging the phone clean the charging port of the device first using a can of compressed air making sure that any dirt or debris gets removed. You should also try using different charging cords and wall chargers if the phone refuses to charge. One last option is to try using a new battery.
- Check if you are able to turn on the phone in recovery mode. In case the phone works in this mode then the problem could be caused by a software glitch in which case you will need to do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then I recommend that you bring this to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Stuck In Samsung Logo
Problem: Hi, I hope you can help me. So last night when I tried to turn on my phone it was just stuck on the Samsung Logo. I tried to hard reset it by pressing power key+home key+volume up and release power key once the logo came out while continuously pressing volume up key and home key but nothing happened.
Solution: Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below which is recommended for issues such as this.
- Remove the battery and microSD card ( if the phone has one installed) then press and hold the power button for at least a minute. What this does is it discharges the phone circuit and clears out its RAM. Once this is done reinsert just the battery then turn on the phone.
- If the phone still gets stuck in the Samsung logo then turn it off and let it charge for at least 20 minutes. Turn the phone after this. If it gets fixed then the problem could be caused by a faulty battery in which case you will need to get a new one.
- In case the issue still persists then try starting your phone in recovery mode and from here you will have to perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Lags And Freezes
Problem: My note works very well for sometime but the moment it goes on standby. It can’t be turned on. Though u will see the blue led light blinking. I took it to a repairer it was opened and they used a kind of liquid to clean it and for three weeks it was more than fine until recently it has started lagging and freezing again. What could be the cause
Solution: There are several factors that can cause a phone to lag and freeze. One factor is a corrupted microSD card since the phone will have a hard time accessing the data stored in this card. Try removing the card then check if the issue still occurs.
Another factor is an app which you downloaded. To check if this is the case just start the phone in Safe Mode. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
One last troubleshooting step you should consider doing is a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Black Screen When Camera Is Used
Problem: my mother in law from the u.s. gave me her old galaxy 4. i didn’t go through the device but immediately did a factory reset to erase all her information. afterwards, when attempting to use the camera, I get a black screen which tends to freeze up. the thing is, the camera works on selfie mode. so i thought the regular camera may have been broken but she says that she had the same problem and brought it in to get fixed and it was working when she gave it to me. I’m thinking that the factory reset undid whatever was fixed. I tried a soft and hard reset but nothing has changed. also tried downloading another camera program but get the same issue. any suggestions?
Solution: Try checking if the issue occurs when the phone is plugged to its charger. If it doesn’t then you might just need to replace the battery. In case the issue still occurs even when the phone is connected to its charger then this might already be caused by a faulty internal component. You will then need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
