J7 Keeps On Rebooting
Problem: I have a Galaxy J7, My phone tries to reboot every time I turn it on. I tried removing the battery and turning it one again, it gets stuck in a cycle of trying startup. I have held Volume up, Home, and Power at the same time, it will show an android character with on the screen for short while but then immediately try rebooting again. I have not been able to get passed this point. I’ve taken the phone into a store and they were unable figure out what to do. What would you suggest?
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it has one then try removing it as this could be causing the problem.
Another factor that can cause this problem is a faulty battery. Try connecting your phone to its charger then check if the problem still occurs. If you have an extra battery then you can also check if the issue occurs when this extra battery is installed.
You should also check if a software glitch is causing this problem. To do this you have to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
If the reset fails to fix the problem then your last option is to flash the phone with its updated stock firmware file using Odin. You can download the firmware file from the Sammobile website which also has the instructions on how to flash your phone.
J7 Unfortunately Contacts Has Stopped Working
Problem: The phone app doesn’t work. When you try to open it you get the message, unfortunately, contacts has stopped. Have been unable to find solution. Rebooted and opened in Safe Mode and still occurs. Removed battery and reinstalled. Have not tried factory reset due to potential data file lose.
Solution: What you should do first in this case is to clear the cache and data of the contacts app from the application manager. This usually fixes this type of problem. If the problem persists then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
J7 Stuck In Downloading Do Not Turn Off Target Screen
Problem: My samsung j7 is not working well, first it switched off and then doesn’t switch on again then i pulled out the battery and start then nothing happen but after keep on doing so, it starts after some time but with the message written ,” downloading do not turn off the target ” and when i restart the phone after that (by clicking all the buttons ) it starts, but the screen keep on bricking and fading , and then completely fade out . So plz tell me the problem and its solution.
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to remove the battery and microSD card ( if your phone has one installed) then press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear out the RAM. Next, reinsert just the battery then turn on your phone. If the issue still occurs then try connecting your phone to its charger then attempt to turn on the device again. In case the phone turns on without any issues then the problem could be caused by a faulty battery. Try getting a new battery and see if this will fix the problem.
If the issue still occurs even when the phone is connected to its charger then you should try starting the phone in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
One last troubleshooting step that you should consider is to flash the phone with its updated stock firmware file using Odin.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then this might already be caused by a faulty internal component in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J7 Screen Flickers
Problem: The screen of mobile flickers while the screen light offs I.e. on pressing the power off button, or when mobiles logs off. Also when I connect to the charger it flickers. The flickering is the half screen remains black but the lower half turns pinks. Also when connecting to the charger it show some round blue circle for few seconds which previously wasn’t there. The mobile is just a year and half old and also it’s handled nicely.
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to check if the problem is caused by an app you installed. Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by one of the apps that you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
In case the issue still occurs in Safe Mode then you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this might already be a hardware related problem possibly caused by faulty display. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
J7 Lags Reboots Randomly
Problem: I bought my Samsung J7 last year, November. I really love it but lately i notice that my phone keeps lagging and shutdown randomly everytime i open an apps, since i have a lots of picture, music and app i thought it because of that so i factory reset it. But now it turn worse. Everytime i shutdown and re open my phone when the lock screen appear it takes 3-4 mins before i can unlock it. please help me. I already did the safe mode but nothing happen i still can’t open it as fast as before.
Solution: Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it has one then this might be causing the problem. Try removing this card then check if the issue still occurs.
If your phone does not have a microSD card or if the issue still occurs even with the card removed then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the phone still reboots or lags. If it does then this could already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
