How to fix Pandora that keeps crashing on Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro (easy steps)

Pandora is a popular app and it’s developed by a big company so we can’t say that the reason why it crashes is because of poor development. App related issues happen all the time and it’s just a matter of when they occur and on what device. We have readers who own the Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro that were complaining about Pandora that reportedly keeps on crashing.

An app crash can be manifested by a force close wherein the app closes immediately the moment it’s opened. There are also times when it opens normally and you can actually use it for a few minutes before it crashes. Another sign that an app crashes is when it shows and error that, in this case, says “Unfortunately, Pandora has stopped.”

Regardless of the symptom you’re getting, it’s just an app crash and you can actually fix it by doing some basic troubleshooting for the app or for the firmware. In this post, I will walk you through on how to fix this issue so if you’re one of the owners of this phone and are currently bugged by a similar problem, continue reading as we may be able to help you.

How to fix Galaxy C7 Pro with Pandora app that keeps crashing

The following solutions have been proven to be effective in dealing with app-related issues and concerns. Try to see if one of them will work for you…

First solution: Reboot your Galaxy C7 Pro

Always do this if an issue suddenly occurs to your phone because it might be just due to firmware glitches and other minor issues. A reboot will be able to fix problems as long as they’re not really complicated. So, hit the power key and restart your phone.

After the restart and the problem continues, try doing the forced restart which simulates battery disconnect. It’s more effective than the normal reboot. Simply press and hold the volume down and power keys together for 10 seconds or until the phone reboots. Once the device becomes active, open Pandora to see if it still crashes and if it does, move on to the next solution.

Second solution: Clear cache and data of Pandora

Doing so will reset the app and brings it back to its default settings. All of its caches and files it has accumulated will also be deleted so if one of them is the reason why it keeps on crashing, then this procedure alone is more than enough to fix the problem. Here’s how you do it:

  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
  2. From a Home screen, navigate: Settings > Apps.
  3. Tap App Manager.
  4. Locate then tap Pandora.
  5. Tap Storage.
  6. Tap CLEAR CACHE.
  7. Tap Cached data.
  8. Tap CLEAR.

This might be the only thing you will have to do to get rid of the “Unfortunately, Pandora has stopped” error and to continue using the app without any problems. However, if the issue continues after this, you can still do something about it.

Third solution: Uninstall and reinstall Pandora

Another reason why an app crashes is when it’s incompatible with the firmware. Compatibility issues are always very common between apps and the firmware. In this case, instead of updating the app, I suggest you uninstall it completely from your phone so that all of its associations with other apps and services as well as to the firmware will be removed. Here’s how you do that:

  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
  2. From a Home screen, navigate: Settings > Apps.
  3. Tap App Manager.
  4. Locate then tap Pandora.
  5. Tap UNINSTALL.
  6. Review the notification then tap OK to confirm.
  7. Reboot your phone to refresh it’s memory and other connections.

Once the phone becomes active, make sure it’s connected to a WiFi hotspot and redownload the app from the Play Store.

  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
  2. Tap Play Store.
  3. Type ‘pandora’ in the search box.
  4. Select Pandora then tap Install.
  5. To continue, review the required app permissions then tap Accept.

These three procedures can surely fix this problem and make Pandora run smoothly on your phone again.

Fourth solution: Reset your Galaxy C7 Pro

If for some reason the problem gets fixed by one of the procedures above but comes back after a few days or so, then you may need to reset your phone as it might not be just a problem with the app but also the system.

Backup all your files and data so that you can retrieve them after the reset. Then make sure you know your google account and password that you use on your phone as you will be need those to set up your phone again. Better yet, remove your google account from your device prior to the reset to prevent you from being locked out of your device:

  1. Power off your device.
  2. While it’s off, press and hold the Volume Up, Home, and Power keys simultaneously for about 10 to 20 seconds.
  3. When the Samsung logo appears, release the Power button but keep pressing the Volume Up and Home keys.
  4. When the Android logo appears, release the remaining buttons.
  5. While on the Android recovery mode screen, press the Volume Down key to highlight wipe data/factory reset and then press the Power key to confirm.
  6. Press the Volume Down key to select Yes — delete all user data and then press the Power key to confirm.
  7. Wait for your device to hard reset. When the reset is complete, the Reboot system now option is highlighted.
  8. Press the Power key to reboot your phone.
