S7 Calls Can Only Be Heard Through Speakerphone

Problem: The microphone will not work properly. When on calls, I must use the speakerphone for the other party to hear me. When making videos, the playback is muffled/ staticy. I can hear very faintly what is being said in the videos, but it’s difficult. No water damage or port obstruction. I think this issue began around the December 2017 update, it has had an additional update since then but no change. Pleeease help!

Solution: It looks like there is something wrong with the microphone of the phone since your voice can’t be heard. Even when recording videos the sound is not right. What you will want to do first in this case is to check if this is caused by a software glitch by doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check if the issue still occurs and if it does then it’s very likely that the microphone of the phone is faulty. You will need to have this checked at a service center.

S7 Unable To Call iPhone

Problem: I have an S7, 1 of my friends has an Iphone 6, he is the only one I am unable to call, sometimes it goes straight to voicemail but most times it rings twice then goes to voicemail, I am also unable to text him, he is able to call me however. I have checked auto reject and even did a factory reset, not sure if the problem exist on my end or his. Thanks

Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and still can’t call or send a text message to a certain phone yet can do with other devices then the problem could either be network related or with the other device. What you will want to do first in this case is to contact your carrier regarding this issue and have them check it on their end. If everything is fine on their end then the problem is most likely with the other device.

S7 Call Goes Silent After It Connects

Problem: I can call out but if someone answers or even if they don’t, the line goes silent. I don’t get a voicemail at all either. If they call me back I can answer and the call is clear. This started right after the last update I was sent, I guess that was about a week or so ago.

Solution: If this issue occurred right after a software update then there’s a chance that it could be caused by old software data that has not been completely removed. What you will want to do in this case is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete check if the issue still occurs.

There’s also the possibility that this is caused by a network problem. To check if this is the case go to a different area then check if the same issue occurs there.

S7 Can’t Call One Number

Problem: I can’t call my husband on my S7. I can call any other numbers except his mobile. He has not accidentally blocked me so why can’t I call him? Please help me fix this thanks.

Solution: If your number is not blocked on his phone then you should try the following troubleshooting steps listed below to fix the problem.

  • Make sure that you are dialing the correct number.
  • Try using a different SIM card on the phone to contact your husband. If the issue does not occur with  another SIM card then the problem could be SIM related. You need to contact your carrier regarding this matter.
  • Try starting the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

S7 Call Can’t Be Heard Through Audio Cable After Software Update

Problem: In a S7, after the last update, I can’t hear the phone during calls thru my trucks stereo using the aux cable. Before it was working great. Any other audio comes they fine.

Solution: Try using a different 3.5mm audio jack cable as this could be causing the problem. If the issue persists and since this occured right after a software update then I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
