Note 5 Will Not Charge
Problem: Last night I wireless charged my note, when I woke up this morning it was at 95% and my wireless charger had stopped working, implying it had fully charged and then stopped at some point before I woke up. My note now will not respond to any cable charging it nor any wireless charging. Now it is at 0% and barely has enough juice to power on for a second, load to the lock screen, then die. Please help!!
Solution: If the phone does not charge using a wired or wireless charger then there’s a possibility that the problem is caused by a faulty battery or power IC. You can still troubleshoot this issue by cleaning the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air then use a different charging cord and wall charger to charge the phone. In case the issue persists then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 5 Not Turning On Or Charging
Problem: I replaced the battery, charging flex port, and rear door on my Note 5. It wont turn on nor charge. I don’t know what to troubleshoot to check what the problem may be. All ribbons are connected and I installed it according to tutorial. What could it possibly be?
Solution: If the battery you replaced is pre-charged then the phone should turn on if the problem is caused by a faulty battery. Since it doesn’t turn on then there’s a possibility that this is caused by a faulty power IC or other internal component that is failing to work properly. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked so that the exact component that is failing to work can be pinpointed.
Note 5 Power Sharing Error
Problem: Note 5 Power sharing app / OTG cable. Same problem, but directly after VR Gear / Oculus install. I Think their “dumbass” software thinks I am plugging in some VR Gear. My phone is a business tool and now this crap has pretty much rendered it useless. Can’t charge my phone and can’t uninstall software… Expensive paid for paperweight.
Solution: If you are unable to uninstall the VR Oculus app then try starting the phone in Safe Mode and uninstall the app. If the issue persists then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Note 5 Will Not Boot
Problem: Phone will not boot did a factory reset but no luck wiped data got a failed to mount / preload ( no such file or directory ) also getting dm-verity verification failed . im guessing that I need to download the OTA FILES or something I hope you can help with these issues thanks and your website is awesome hope to hear from you soon
Solution: It looks like the phone software has become corrupt. The best thing to do right now is to manually flash the updated stock firmware file of your phone using Odin. You can get the file as well as the instructions on how to flash your phone at the Sammobile website.
Note 5 Reboots When Battery Is Below 20%
Problem: Hi my Samsung Galaxy NOTE 5, I have it apx 6 months, reboots when turning on when the battery is below 20%, frequently reboots before I can enter my pin, sometimes when I am already in and start using emails or other apps. have reset, shop has replaced the battery, but the problem persists. any suggestions please
Solution: It looks like the problem is caused by a faulty power IC or other component in the motherboard. I suggest that you have this checked at a service center.
