S7 Edge Not Connecting To Wireless Network

Problem: I have an S7 edge that won’t connect to the wireless network correctly.  It keep going to the hands free activation screen and say it is configuring device for voice and data.  This goes on for minutes, and I get a message com.samsung.syncservice has stopped.  I choose restart app and the same thing happens again and again.  If I close out of this loop when asked to restart app, the phone is usable to make calls and send texts, but I get little if any data stream. Spring has been useless at best.

Solution: There’s a possibility that this issue is caused by a software glitch which is what we will be troubleshooting today. Follow the steps listed below to fix this problem.

  • Try to check first if the issue is caused by an app you downloaded by starting the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If the issue does not occur in this mode then the problem could be caused by a downloaded app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode. This will delete the cached data of the system.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try  checking first if the issue still occurs.

In case the problem still persists then this might already be caused by a faulty hardware component. The best thing you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Black Screen With Blue Pulsing LED Light

Problem: Hi, I switched off my phone to charge. When I went back to it The blue light was pulsing brighter/dimmer. It would not switch on. I have tried reboot and every other button combination I could find on the internet but nothing only

Solution: If your phone has a microSD card then try removing it first. Once the card has been removed you should perform a simulated battery pull. This is done by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If it doesn’t then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
  • Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger.
  • In case the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also try charging the phone from a computer USB port.
  • Turn on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for 10 seconds.

If the above steps fail then you should try starting the phone in recovery mode. If the phone starts then you should do a factory reset. Take note that this reset will erase your phone data.

Should the issue still persist at this point then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be caused by a faulty hardware component.

S7 Edge Not Restoring Backup Data

Problem: My s7 edge was running a little slow so I factory reset it. I backed everything up but when I went to restore everything, everything was gone. I tried everything I can think of but it hasn’t worked

Solution: The restoration of the data will depend on how you made the backup. If you used Smart Switch to backup your phone data then the procedure is as follows.

To backup your phone data

  • Connect the phone to a computer with Smart Switch installed.
  • Launch the Smart Switch app on your computer. Click Backup.
  • You’ll be required to allow access permissions on your phone.
  • Tap allow on your phone
  • Click OK to finish once it is done

To restore your phone data

  • Launch Samsung Smart Switch on your computer and connect your phone via USB.
  • Click Restore.
  • Click Select a different backup if you want to restore from an earlier backup, otherwise click Restore now.
  • You’ll be required to allow access permissions on your phone.
  • Tap allow on your phone
  • Click OK to finish once it is done

S7 Edge Keeps On Locking

Problem: hi. My galaxy s7 edge keeps locking like I’ve entered the wrong passcode repeatedly even though its been in my pocket or even just sitting charging. I regularly pick it up and can’t use it and it’ll say try again 30 minutes Any help would be appreciated

Solution: Make sure that the phone is locked when you place it in your pocket so that you won’t be making random presses on the screen which could activate the screen lock.

What you will want to do first in this case is to check if the problem is caused by an app you downloaded. To do this just start the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. If the problem does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by a downloaded app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If the issue still occurs in Safe Mode then I suggest that you do a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try checking first if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Constantly Turns Off

Problem: I have a S7 Edge and it constantly turns off when I still have battery life or it goes into a reboot loop.  I have tried a new phone cleaner, a new battery, factory restore and nothing seems to work.  Not sure what else to do.  I still haven’t even paid off the phone and it is a nightmare.  It seems to also be connected to the camera part of the phone.  i’m looking for some sort of update or patch that will solve the problem.  This phone is junk!

Solution: Since you have already replaced the battery and even performed a factory reset which doesn’t solve the problem then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component already possibly the power IC. The best thing that you can do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Speaker Volume Is Low

Problem: I have recently bought S7 Edge which is running fine except before few days am observing the the speaker volume for media get really low no matter if the media volume is full however the headphones sounds are perfect, the restart usually solves the problem but this seems not permanent, I have a feeling that after using headphones when I remove the headphones the speaker media sound issue appears although the is not consistent behaviour, I have not upgraded the OS recently as it got upgraded when I bought the phone 3 weeks back

Solution: If a restart temporarily fixes the problem then there’s a possibility that the problem is caused by a software glitch. What you should do first is to make sure that the phone is running on the latest software update.

You should also perform the steps listed below.

  • Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

In case the issue still occurs after performing the steps listed above then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Freezes

Problem: System continues to freeze up. Soft reset completed. Hard reset completed. Complete system restore completed. No apps reloaded after the restore Same result. The phone freezes up after a couple selections of the system (ie. Text, phone call, app usage, etc). The only way to keep my phone operational is to not move it. Literally, leave it on the counter and to not tilt it at all. I’ve narrowed it down to a hardware issue (something to do with the accelerometer…I think). My question, is there anyway to disable the accelerometer in this device to further troubleshoot?

Solution: There is no setting in the phone to turn off the accelerometer. Since this appears to be a hardware related issue already you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
