S6 Edge Is Not Charging
Problem: My samsung s6 edge is not charging. The battery got to 0% and then I put it on charge. When I connect the charger, it shows a battery symbol for a few seconds on the screen and does not charge the phone.
Related Problem: Samsung S6 Edge. Started acting up a couple weeks ago. Died quickly and then when plugged into outlet with Samsung charger, the no charge sign showed up briefly and then the screen went blank again. Does not appear to be taking a charge.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to first clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port. Once this is done proceed with the steps listed below.
- Charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using its wall charger.
- If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You should also check if the phone can charge from a computer USB port.
- Turn on the phone by pressing and holding both power and volume down buttons for at least 10 seconds.
If the above steps doesn’t fix the problem then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already be a hardware related problem.
S6 Edge Restarts Then Freezes
Problem: Hii im using samsung galaxy s6 edge and the problem is when the device is turned on it works good but after few minutes it restarts of its on and it freezes the screen and restart again sometime it can’t complete its boot and restart again and again. It doesn’t even get to safe mode and when it does it says it requires download
Related Problem: my s6 edge restarts from time to time after it freezes when i’m doing something or even when it is in standby condition. when the restart occur it shows a white bright led light and then it restart as normal i have done everything including soft reset, hard reset after clearing cache but nothing worked. it will be great if you could help me in resolving this problem.Thanks in advance.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to check if this problem is caused by a software glitch. To do this you need to backup your phone data then start the phone in recovery mode and do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try checking first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this might already be caused by a hardware component that is failing to work properly. The best thing to do right now is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Not Turning On After Getting Wet
Problem: I dropped my phone in the toilet, immediately removed it and put it in rice. I found the rice was just turning mushy and getting in all the ports in my phone so i took it out of the rice after about 6 hours and put it in the airing cupboard for 2 days. Took it out today and checked the sim, it doesn’t seem water damaged but when i plug it in to charge it comes up with the lightning symbol but the charge doesn’t go up. While its plugged in on charge i can turn it on but it cuts out again and powers off after a few seconds. When not plugged in it wont work at all. Thinking maybe the battery has been damaged? What should i do next?
Solution: It appears that water has damaged some component in the phone. By the way you are describing the issue it appears that the battery of the phone could be damaged. You should have this replaced then check if the problem persists. If it does then there is still some other component inside the phone that has also been water damaged. You will need to have this checked at a service center.
Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Just today, I noticed that I cannot access the SoundAlive feature on my Samsung Music Player. Also, I am unable to access Sound Quality and Effects in the Sounds and Vibration menu.
Solution: The sound effects are only available if you have headphones connected to the phone or if a Bluetooth headset is connected to your device. The same goes for the SoundAlive feature of the phone.
S6 Edge Got Wet Does Not Turn On
Problem: I don’t know which Galaxy S6 Edge I have, or which version (I just needed to fill the field), but it fell into water and immediately shut down and wouldn’t turn on. I took off my sim card, and put it in a bowl of salt, will it survive and work again after it dries?? Is there any advice that might help it turn on again??
Solution: The best thing that you can do when your phone gets wet is to wipe it until it is dry then place it in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours ( make sure to remove the SIM card when you do this). The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done try turning on the phone. If it still does not turn on then it is most likely water damaged already. The best thing to do in this situation is to bring the phone to a service center then have it checked.
S6 Edge Keeps On Restarting
Problem: So my Galaxy S6 Edge, just started restarting over and over until the battery went dead. I tried to open up in safe mode and it would stay on for maybe 30 seconds. I then tried to do a factory reset and it will not complete, it gets to 28/32 apps configuration and it cuts off again. I took it to a local computer house, he tried to clear the cache and it wouldn’t take. I don’t understand how a perfect s6 edge has just completely crashed and no one knows how to fix it. They say it’s a corrupted firmware and it’s just junk!! I don’t understand that, there has got to be a way to fix it Please Help!!
Solution: If this is caused by a corrupted software then you should try flashing the phone with its updated firmware file. You can get this file from the Sammobile website which is also where you can get the instructions on how to flash your phone.
If the issue persists then this is most likely a hardware problem already in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Stuck In Bootloop
Problem: Samsung S6 Edge won’t stop a “boot-loop”
- Power button does not work
- Factory reset does not work
- Is booting into safe mode but only stays on login screen for 1 sec and reboots
- Then screen goes black
- Then Samsung logo appears
- Then safe mode login screen appears
- By time have swiped screen to log in, phone reboots back to
- black screen and then samsung logo.. and so on and on
- Phone is also very hot and won’t cool down
What have I tried?:
- Holding down the power button for even up to 5-10 minutes does nothing
- have tried to press the power button in rapid succession and doesn’t work
- have tried holding power + up volume + home and doesn’t work
- have tried putting on charger and doing same and does not work
- have screamed at the sky (felt good!) but didn’t work

Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset from here. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If the issue still persists then this is most likely caused by a failing hardware component. You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
