Note 5 Slow Wireless Charging
Problem: Hi, I am having problems with my Samsung Galaxy Note 5. I left my phone on my wireless charger all night and when I checked it in the morning, the phone was at 3%. I have since tried to continue charging my phone and it seems that the battery is charging very slowly or will not hold charge. My usb charging port is currently broken (does not respond to being plugged in). I recently did a hard reset on the phone and installed my normal apps. Does this seem like a battery issue or could this be a software issue? Thank you!
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this case is to try to use a different charging cord and wall charger ( must have an output rating of at least 2.0A) on the wireless charging pad. Check if the issue still occurs. If it does then I suggest that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete charge the phone wirelessly.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then this could be caused by a faulty hardware component, possibly the battery. If this is the case then you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 5 Boom Beach Game Crashes
Problem: Everytime I try to play my game, Boom Beach, which I have played for years, when I start it it says program stops. Can u tell me how to fix this. it does it everytime I try to sign in. Plus it has been turning itself on and off in the middle of my Clash of Clans and while i’m on my phone calls. I have a Note 5.
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to make sure that your phone is running on the latest software update. Next, uninstall the Boom Beach game then install a fresh version from the Google Play Store. This should fix the problem.
As for the other issue of the phone restarting when playing clash of Clans or during phone calls the best way to troubleshoot this is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps yet. Try making calls first then check if the phone still restarts. If it does then the battery might already be faulty. You will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
Note 5 Purple Line At Bottom Of Screen
Problem: Hi, I have a Samsung galaxy note 5 and the problem with it is that at the bottom of the screen it appears with a line of purple and blue-ish colour, and also when that is happening sometimes when I turn of my phone and turn it back on it doesn’t work. it only shows me that colours appearing on my screen. it also does everything on its own. for example, when I went on Instagram and liked a post then it would go on the comment section on its own and tap on random people’s name on its own. can you please tell me what to do. also my setting has stopped. it works on any other things I tap on but I am trying to change my password it says setting has stopped. I cant reset my phone either because it needs ur phone password and when I type it in it says setting has stopped.
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then from here perform a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. Once the reset is complete check if the issue still occurs. If it does then this is most likely caused by a faulty hardware component ( possibly the display assembly). You will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.
Note 5 Cannot Access Camera Settings
Problem: I can’t get to the camera setting page. Pressing home twice quickly goes back or just stays on the home screen. When i record a video, at some point (usually 35 minutes) the recording stops and then starts recording a new video. I can’t change or adjust anything. I don’t have other video or camera apps, just what came with the phone.
Solution: Your phone might be working on Easy Mode which is why you are unable to access the camera settings. To fix this just set your phone to Standard mode.
- Swipe to the left of the screen from the home screen.
- Tap Settings
- Tap Easy Mode
- Tap Standard Mode
- Tap Done
As for the video recording time this is affected by several factors. If the recorded video file is stored in the microSD card then the maximum file size will usually be 4GB if this card is formatted in the FAT32 file system. Depending on the video quality set for recording the 4GB limit will usually be 35 minutes of recording.
Note 5 Screen Is Black After Drop
Problem: Hello, I am inquiring about some possible assistance if you may be able to provide it. I live upstairs in a 2nd story building & dropped my phone last night. The screen went black, but the notification light still blinks (upper left) & the lights on either side of the home button still light up (lower right & left of home button on bottom). Is there anything I can do to fix it?
Solution: To fix this problem you should try pressing the power and volume down buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If the screen is still black then you should try starting the phone in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this is most likely a hardware related problem already possibly caused by a damaged display in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
