J3 Touchwiz Not Responding
Problem: Touchwiz is not responding and phone is unusable … Unable to get into settings and have no idea what android version it is Unable to answer or make calls cannot open settings can do basically nothing at all Plz help!
Solution: If you are unable to go to the Settings of the phone then I suggest that you start the phone in Safe Mode. From here you will need to clear the cache and data of the Touchwiz app.
In case the issue still persists even in Safe Mode then you will need to start the phone in recovery mode and from here do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
J3 Stuck In Factory Reset
Problem: I factory data reset my Samsung J3 however while this was happening an error occurred telling me that unfortunately the touchwiz has stopped working. So now my phone is still in the middle of a factory reset and all I can press when that message pops up is ‘ok’. How can I fix this… should I take the battery out or would this corrupt the phone data? Please help!
Solution: If you have the model with the removable battery then try removing the battery then press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear its RAM. Reinsert the battery then start the phone in recovery mode. I suggest that you perform the factory reset from here.
J3 Disconnects Randomly From The Internet
Problem: I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge, which absolutely refuses to stay connected to the internet. It only gets online if I either connect it, or reboot the phone. It usually stays connected for a few minutes, between 2 and 5, then it’s gone , pls help me. thank you
Solution: Are you using a Wi-Fi connection when this issue occurs? If you are then try forgetting the network from the phone then connect to it again. You should also try connecting the phone to other Wi-Fi networks then check if the issue still occurs. This allows you to verify if the problem is caused by a particular Wi-Fi network.
If this issue occurs when the phone is connected to the mobile data network then you need to make sure that you are getting a good signal from the carrier.
There’s also the possibility that this is caused by a software glitch. To check if this is the case perform the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Wipe the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
J3 Screen Flashes Green Not Turning On
Problem: My device was working normally all through this morning. Around lunch time it suddenly appeared to not turn on when I pressed the power button. All that the screen would do was show a quick flash of green in an almost straight, horizontal line from the power button to the volume button on the left. I have tried to soft reset it and hard reset it -each to no avail- according to the article and video that I found on this website. Since then part of the screen has lit up and displayed my lock screen in the upper portion but with a green tint. This has happened only twice.
Solution: The best troubleshooting that you can do right now is to start the phone in recovery mode then from here do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If the issue persists then this is likely caused by a faulty hardware component already in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
J3 Not Completely Charging
Problem: First the phone wouldn’t turn on, put on charger, wouldn’t charge, played with charging plug and started charging. After started charging got phone to turn on. Phone displayed wrong date by a week, wrong time, lost text messages by a week, and apps keep rearranging themselves. Phone has been plugged in for 9 hrs. Has only charged to 82%, battery is oem, second installed bought 4 months ago.
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air then try charging the phone again using a different charging cord and wall charger. In case the issue persists then you should consider getting another battery for your phone as this might be what’s causing the problem.
J3 Not Turning On
Problem: I have an extra battery and an external charger that shows the batteries are charged. it started with spare cheap battery would not charge in phone and phone would give me a high pitched warning that this battery wont charge. then it started to cause problems booting up it would start and wouldn’t then id take battery out of phone for a sec and put it back and boot it up. that started probably 2 weeks ago and it progressively gotten worse where it would take an hour or more of taking battery out and taking usb in or out of phone yesterday it wouldn’t turn on or or show it was charging. please i need a miracle. tried everything you suggested and popped it in freezer nothing worked
Related Problem: Hey, my samsung phone isn’t coming on , I put the battery into a battery charger and it charged fully but when put it back into my phone it still isn’t coming . I tried reset it but taking out the battery, charging it for the whole day even I tried holding down the volume ,home and power button method as well. Can you please tell me what is wrong?
Solution: The best thing that you can do right now is to remove the battery from the phone then press and hold the power button for at least a minute. If the phone has a microSD card installed then you should remove this as well. Reinsert a fully charged battery to the phone then try turning it on. In case the issue persists then I suggest that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked as this could already by a hardware related problem.
J3 Null Function For This App Has Been Disabled Error
Problem: Hi. I have new Samsung galaxy J3. One app I tried to load told me “Null function for this app has been disabled, to enable it please go to settings.” I uninstalled this app, then another app that had been working fine said the same thing, I tired uninstalling the app that had been working and redownloading it but it still has the same error.
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to make sure that the phone is running on the latest software update. Once this is done proceed with the steps listed below.
