The #LG #G5 is LG’s flagship phone model that was released in 2016 and is best known for its modular design. What this means is that owners of the phone can purchase add ons that can further enhance the capability of the device. Because of this design the phone does not have any waterproofing feature but this isn’t a problem as it has other excellent features that makes up for this. Although this is a solid phone there are still instances when certain issues can occur which we will be addressing today. LG G5 Does Not Turn On
Problem: my LG 5 will not turn back on i had turned it off for a good maybe 10 mins then i wanted to to turn back on it didn’t i took out the battery for 10 sec and longer i left it alone for hours. i hope you guys can help me thank you
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to make sure that the battery of the phone has sufficient charge. Follow the troubleshooting steps listed below to charge your phone.
- Clean the charging port of the phone using a can of compressed air making sure that any dirt or debris gets removed.
- Charge your phone for at least 20 minutes.
- If the phone does not charge then try using a different charging cord and wall charger. You can also test if the phone charges from a computer USB port.
- Try getting a new battery.
In case the phone still does not turn on even after performing the steps listed above then this could already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
LG G5 Call Can’t Be Heard
Problem: I bought my LG5 at the end of May . When I got the phone I called Rogers to see why people couldn’t hear me very well when I was on a phone call, I kept cutting out a lot apparently and repeating everything 3 or 4 times was a huge annoyance. Rogers did whatever they did and nothing changed. I went a week or two and was messing around my phone and there’s a “volte” (apparently a feature that some places have to make a faster and crisper signal) button on my top screen pull down. I pressed it and apparently it was a solution for a couple months and yesterday and today (mid Aug) everyone complains I’m cutting out a lot again and the phone is on a contract so it’s not like I can get a new device. (I was a SG4,5 and 6 fan before this) but I’m getting beyond frustrated. Any help or solution would be amazing. Thank you.
Solution: What you will want to do in this particular case is to check if a software glitch is causing the problem by doing the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Start the phone in Safe Mode. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Try wiping the cache partition of the phone from the recovery mode. Check if the issue still occurs.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Do not install any app in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem the you should try using another SIM card in your phone. If the issue doesn’t occur then you will need to get a new SIM.
Should the issue still persist at this point then this could already be a hardware related problem in which case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
LG G5 Not Connecting To Car Bluetooth
Problem: Hi, I’ve got an LG G5 with: Android version 7 Software version V20c-ISR-XX Connected with B.T car system of Lexus GS300 year model 2007. My problem is that after connection with car system everything is ok but when my wife connects with her phone I can’t connect my LG G5 and need to unpair and pair I had a previous LG G3 with no problem and my wife has the LG G4 also with no connection problem. Will appreciate your help . Cheers,
Solution: This appears to be an issue with the Bluetooth firmware of the car. Try to check if there are any new updates for the Bluetooth firmware of your car then if there are update it accordingly. You will need to consult your car manual on how to do this.
LG G5 Not Turning On Unless Battery Is Removed
Problem: Hi, I have the LG G5, I have 2 batteries and the charging buddy. Today my phone randomly shut off after me changing from one battery to the other. I took the battery out charged it for a few minutes in the charging buddy and then put back in phone. The G5 turned back on but as soon as the screen timed out it was back off. The only way to get it back on is to physically remove the battery charge it for 10 min or so in the buddy and then put back in. Sometimes it stays on for 15+ mins, others less than a min. This happens with both the batteries, which are 100% charged and work perfect in my husbands phone. I am still under LG’s warranty but they want me to send my phone for fixing, I can’t be without my phone. I have the Head office number I am going to call Tuesday but in the meantime any ideas?? I have Factory reset the phone, with no results. I haven’t don’t the big reset…the one with the power and volume, only because that is like trying to win the lottery trying to charge the battery and then try and reset. Thanks in Advance.
Solution: This appears to be a hardware related issue already most likely caused by a faulty power IC. The best thing that you can do right now is to have the phone fixed by LG’s service center.
LG G5 Wi-Fi Not Turning On
Problem: Recently bought LG G5, Not able to connect to Wi-Fi. When tried to connect, keep getting “turning Wi-Fi on…. ” message. I went through process of cleaning cache and did factory reset. Still could not resolve the issue.
Solution: If you have already performed a factory reset and the Wi-Fi of the phone still does not turn on then the problem is most likely caused by a faulty Wi-Fi chip. If this is still under warranty then you should bring it back to the store where you bought it from otherwise you will need to bring this to a service center and have it checked.
LG G5 No Receiving MMS From One Contact
Problem: My LG G5 cant receive mms messages from just one person. This person also has an LG phone. but it is an older sliding keyboard type LG phone. Every time he sends me a picture message it comes through as a blank text message. Like the picture gets removed from the message. I have done the test where I send myself an MMS message and I can receive it. I can get MMS messages from all other people too.
Solution: It’s very likely that the problem is with the sender’s phone. Try to have the sender send an MMS to their phone. It’s likely that the MMS will also appear as blank.
