PNote 4 Blank Screen After Fall Issue
Problem: My Samsung galaxy note 4 fell on the floor and it has been showing black screen ever since. This has happened for about 5 days
Solution: It’s very likely that this problem is caused by a loose connection between the display and the phone mother board or the display might have been damaged during the fall. The best way to proceed in this case is to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Notification Panel Can’t Slide Down Unless Using S Pen
Problem: I can’t slide down to open my notification panel on my Samsung Note 4 unless I use my S-pen. I’ve tried rebooting it, starting it in Safe Mode, soft reset and tried wiping the cache partition.
Solution: What you will want to do in this particular case is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If after the reset the issue still persists then there’s a possibility that the upper part of the display is where the digitizer is not working. You will need to have this checked at a service center.
Note 4 Screen Only Working With S Pen
Problem: My touchscreen doesnt work. It’s only working with the S-Pen. I’ve tried to try it with *#2663# but it says Device key String not found…
Solution: Just like the issue which we have addressed above what you will need to do first is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset check if you are still having the same problem. If the issue persists then there’s a chance that the digitizer of the phone is damaged. You will then need to bring this to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Screen Display Is Dull
Problem: My samsung note 4 phone is working well but my screen display is dull, I had to increase the screen brightness to see the phone display a bit and the colour it displaying dull too
Solution: Try turning off the auto screen brightness feature of the phone then manually set the brightness level to its maximum setting. If the display is still dull then try to check if the same issue occurs when the phone isstarted in Safe Mode. When the phone works in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run which makes it easier for you to determine if an app you downloaded is causing the problem. In case the issue does not occur in this mode then it is most likely caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset to check if the problem is caused by a software glitch.
In case the above steps fails to fix the problem then you need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Screen Keeps Turning Off
Problem: My Note 4 keeps shutting off its lcd when i turn it off or leave it off for a set period of time, which forces me to remove the battery, and sometimes has a boot up where it says downloading target and has coding text in the top left. Please help since it was just factory reset by the person my mom bought it from.
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to check if a software glitch is causing this problem by backing up your phone data and doing a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the problem still occurs. If it does then we could be looking at a hardware related problem. If this is the case you will need to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Screen Completely Black
Problem: Samsung Galaxy note 4. Screen completely black Was completely fine the other day won’t turn on I don’t think it’s charging due to it not showing any indication or vibration, tried getting to recovery mode with holding power button volume up and down nothing works 🙁 please help
Solution: The first thing that you will need to do in this particular case is to make sure that the battery has sufficient charge to turn on the phone. Listed below are the troubleshooting steps that you need to perform to charge the battery.
- Clean the charging port of the phone making sure that any dirt or debris stuck in it gets removed.
- Remove the battery and microSD card ( if one is installed) then press and hold the power button for at least a minute. This will discharge the phone circuit and clear its RAM.
- Reinsert the battery then charge the phone for at least 20 minutes.
- If there is no charging indicator then try using a different charging cord and wall charger.
- Try using a new battery then turn on the phone.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then you will have to bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Keeps Turning Off At End Of Calls
Problem: I have a galaxy note 4 and it keeps powering off at the end of calls. Then when I make a call there is no connect sound and it’s not ringing in my ear. When someone answers the phone I can’t hear them. What should I do?
Solution: Try to check if the phone still turns off at the end of calls when it is connected to its charger. If the issue does not occur then this is most likely caused by a weak or faulty battery. You will then need to replace the battery with a new one. If the problem still occurs then the next step is to perform a factory reset to eliminate any possible software glitches that could be causing this problem. If the problem still occurs after the reset then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Keeps On Rebooting Gets Stuck On Samsung Screen
Problem: My phone kept rebooting by itself, so I did:
- Wipe cache partition
- Wipe data/factory reset
- I rebooted the system
- The Android icon showed up saying “installing system update,” then “no command”
- Then it gets stuck on the Samsung screen and keeps reboot by itself over and over and over.
Solution: Try connecting the phone to its charger then check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t then a faulty battery could be causing the problem in which case you will have to replace the battery with a new one. If the problem still occurs then this could already by caused by a faulty internal component. The best thing to do right now is to have your phone checked at a service center.
