S7 Edge Apps Not Opening After Software Update
Problem: Ever since I updated my S7 edge some apps won’t open anymore. At first when they stopped working I went to the app store and updated them all and they worked again for a day and then stopped again. Now they won’t even open and my device seems slower than before.
Solution: Updating your apps from the Google Play Store is one of the first troubleshooting steps that needs to be done in this particular case. Since you already did this and the issue still persists then you need to wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. This will erase the temporary system data of the phone which could be causing the problem. Once this is done try to check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S7 Edge Unfortunately Smart Card Manager Has Stopped Working Error
Problem: My phone periodically says “unfortunately smart card manager has stopped working” and then I get a security alert saying “unauthorized actions have been detected, please restart your phone” or something along those lines. I also do not have the option to save wifi so the wifi never reconnects to anything I’ve already typed the password in for even if it’s my.home device. Also, I live in New Zealand with the carrier Vodafone but you don’t have that option on your Country list.
Solution: Your phone seems to be experiencing several issues. Regarding the smart card manager has stopped working it appears that the app might have some corrupt data. Clearing the cache and data of this app from the application manager will usually fix this problem.
Moving to the unauthorized actions have been detected error the following possible causes are listed below.
- You might have installed a malicious app that is trying to modify the system file of your phone.
- You might have removed or modified a system file.
If restarting the phone and doing a factory reset ( make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset) does not fix the problem then you should try to flash your phone with its updated firmware file. You can download the firmware file of your phone from the Sammobile website. This website will also have the instruction on how to flash your phone.
By flashing your phone software there’s also a big possibility that the Wi-Fi problem that you are experiencing will also be fixed.
S7 Edge Stuck On Android Screen After Unrooting
Problem: Hi. I tried to root my phone using Odin. everything worked fine until I tried unrooting my phone. The unrooting process seemed to be working fine and odin displayed a success sign indicating to me that the phone was now unrooted however the blue reboot screen with the loading signal wouldnt appear it just went blank. Then the first picture with the words Samsung galaxy s7 edge appeared with “powered by android” at the bottom of the screen. It has stayed frozen on the screen ever since i unrooted my phone. It won’t reset I can’t soft reset or do anything with the phone anymore. PLEASE HELP MEEE!!!!!
Solution: The first thing that you should do in this case is to start the phone in recovery mode then try to do a factory reset. Take note that the reset will erase your phone data. If this doesn’t work then you will need to flash your phone with its update stock firmware file. Download your phone’s firmware file from the Sammobile website. You will also find the instructions on how to flash your phone from this website.
S7 Edge Error After Factory Reset
Problem: Hi, I recently purchased a used Samsung S7 edge (G935A). After doing a factory reset on the phone some errors started to occur. Errors such as:
- Pressing the Software Update button (Settings->About Device->Software Update) does nothing. Phone does not check for updates.
- Manually changing the time (Settings->About Device-> Date & Time -> Set Time) will give me the error message “Unfortunately,Settings has stopped”
- Selecting the Night Clock option (Settings->Display->Night Clock) will give me the following message “Unfortunately. AODService has stopped”
I have tried many of you already proposed fixed such has soft resets, booting in safe mode to see if problem still persists and clearing the cache. Only thing i haven’t done yet is another factory reset. What else can you possible recommend for me to do in this case?
Solution: If these issues occurred right after a factory reset then what you can do right now is to check if your phone has a microSD card installed. If it does then try removing it. If your phone does not have a microSD card or if the issues still occur after removing the card then you should consider flashing your phone with its updated stock firmware file using Odin.
S7 Edge Stuck On Upgrading Android Screen
Problem: Galaxy s7 edge stuck on upgrading android after doing software update. Will not function and continues to go to black screen on shows open lock with green and blue circle as if loading.
Solution: What you should do in this case is to simulate a battery pull first by pressing and holding both power and volume down button for at least 10 seconds. Your phone should restart after this. If the issue still persists then follow the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recover mode.
- Start the phone in recovery mode then do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
