S6 Can’t Connect To Wi-Fi After Nougat Update
Problem: i can’t connect to wifi after update my phone to nougat 7 officially for more than 5 mins and the connection drops with no reason and “connected but no internet” i try everything i’m seriously going to give up there is no solution for me i search for everything and nothing new it’s worked before update now it keeps dropping so what the solution i hate my life
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this particular case is to check your Wi-Fi network first. Connect another device to this network then check if you are able to go online. If not then the issue could be with the router in which case you will have to check why it is not functioning properly.
If the problem is not caused by the Wi-Fi network then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Forget the Wi-Fi connection from your phone. Restart your phone then connect to the Wi-fi network again.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this could be caused by old software data that has not been completely removed from your phone. You will have to backup your phone data then do a factory reset to fix this problem.
S6 Not Connecting To The Internet After Marshmallow Update
Problem: After the Marshmallow update my Galaxy S6 will not connect to the internet. When trying to connect to the internet, I get the message offline, no network available. I can’t use the internet with wifi.
Solution: Just like the issue we have addressed above the first thing you need to do in this case is to check if the Wi-Fi network is causing the problem. Once you have made sure that the Wi-Fi network isn’t causing this problem proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Forget the Wi-Fi connection from your phone then connect to it again.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete do not install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if your phone can connect to the Wi-Fi network.
If the above steps fails to fix the problem then this could already be a hardware related issue. You will need to bring your phone to a service center.
S6 Can’t Connect To Mobile Data
Problem: Can’t connect to mobile data. MMS Protocol is missing from APN settings. The rest are set properly. Don’t know the original network the phone was on.
Solution: The following are the things you need to check in order for your phone to connect to the mobile data network.
- Make sure that your phone has the correct APN settings. Compare the settings in your phone with the one your carrier is using. Make the necessary changes in your phone if needed.
- Make sure that you have an active mobile data subscription.
- Check if you are able to connect to the mobile data network when the phone isstarted in Safe Mode. If you are able to then he problem could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S6 Will Not Connect to The Internet
Problem: Hi, my Galaxy S6 will not connect to the internet. I was having problems connecting to the instagram app and ifunny app, along with certain websites on the internet. After looking up a bunch of troubleshooting solutions, I decided to factory reset my device and now when I connect to my network, and try to accept the terms and conditions of the device, it tries to connect to the internet, but I can’t.
Solution: Try to check if the issue occurs when trying to connect to a different Wi-Fi network. If it is able to connect then the problem could be caused by your Wi-Fi network. If the issue is the same when connecting to a different network then suggest performing a factory reset again but this time do it from the recovery mode.
S6 Apps Not Connecting to The Internet After Nougat Update
Problem: Apps, especially third party apps can’t connect to the Internet on my galaxy s6 after nougat update. Also, my keypad is freezing and lagging. I’ve tried restarting my phone, turned WiFi on and off, updated my profile, and prl, Nothings helped.
Solution: Since the phone has undergone a major software update you should also check if there are apps that need to be updated as well. To do this just head out over to the Google Play Store then tap on the My Apps section. If you see any app that needs updating then proceed with the update.
If all of the phone apps are updated and the issue still persists then this might be caused by some form of old software data that got left behind during the update process. This old data usually causes a conflict with the new software version resulting in various issues. What you should do to fix this problem is to backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S6 Won’t Connect To Wi-Fi Automatically
Problem: S6 won’t connect to WiFi automatically. It will disconnect randomly. Started when updated to nugget. Tried on 3 different WiFi locations, have done hard and soft resets and reset under settings reset . Everything short of factory reset. WiFi had worked good until updated. When connected now it works fine for short periods and then drops
Solution: You could try forgetting the Wi-Fi networks in your phone then connect to the networks again. If this doesn’t work then you should consider doing a factory reset seeing that this occurred right after a software update.
S6 Wi-Fi Will Not Turn On
Problem: The Wi Fi will not turn on. Have done a total factory reset. No other apps installed on the phone except pre loaded apps by Verizon. Extensive research with no resolve. Samsung or Verizon say there is nothing they can do
Solution: If the issue occurs even after performing a factory reset then the issue could be caused by a faulty Wi-Fi chip in the phone. I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Not Detecting Wi-Fi Network After LCD Replacement
Problem: After having my LCD replaced, my phone is no longer able to see wifi networks, and it can’t connect to Bluetooth or GPS. I asked the people that worked on it to check it out, and they said that there is nothing physically wrong with it. Would you know anything about it?
Solution: It looks like some component in the phone got damaged when the LCD was replaced. Bring your phone to a different service center and have it checked.
