S7 Edge Warning Camera Failed Error

Problem: Warning camera failed.I paid a lot of money for my phone and one of the reasons i chose the galaxy 7 edge was because of the brilliant reviews.I don’t know the android version

Related Problem: Hello my camera is not working keeps saying camera failed i have tried rebooting and all the other things it says to do but not working i have a s7 edge not a year old either so don’t no what to do

Related Problem: Galaxy edge 7, receiving warning message camera failed. It’s stuck in the forward facing, I can’t get it out of that mode. It’s only the selfish camera that I get the warning. Camera was working fine until this week. I’ve tried troubleshooting, hard reset, and factory data reset.

Related Problem: I have purchased a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge almost 10 days back but started to receive indication of Camera Failed whenever I try to put the camera on, tried all the steps of troubleshooting but the problem still persists, my phone middle east import thus without warranty. The model number is SM-G935FD

Related Problem: Camera is failing. Message : Unfortunately the Camera has stopped. The camera is not loading and I have retarded, cleared cache and hard stopped the app.

Solution: In most cases the problem could be resolved simply by restarting the phone so this is what you should try doing first. If you still experience the same issue then go to the application manager from the phone settings and look for the camera app. You will need to clear the cache and data of the camera app. What this does it will erase the cached data of the app as well as reset the camera to its default settings. Once this is done try to check if the same issue occurs. If it does then perform the steps listed below. Check if the issue still occurs after performing a step then move to the next one if it does.

  • Does your phone have a microSD card installed? If it does then try removing it.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Does the issue occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app that you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

In case the problem still occurs even after performing the steps listed above then you will need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Front Camera Not Focusing

Problem: I have a S7 edge and my front facing camera is not focusing on faces when a selfie is taken. I own my own business that runs off me being able to take selfies of myself and others. The background is crisp and clear but the face always turns out blurry. I hold completely still when taking the photo as well please help!

Solution: Does you phone have a screen protector installed? If it does then try removing it as this could be causing the blurry selfies that you are taking. You should also wipe the front camera lens using a microfiber cloth to remove any smudges or dust that could be causing the problem. If the pictures are still blurry then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clear the cache and data of the camera app.
  • Check if the issue also occurs in Safe Mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the issue still occurs even after performing the steps listed above then you need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Photos Have Exclamation Mark

Problem: When the device is locked you can still access the camera and take photos but the problem is that when i want to view these photos in my gallery, they won’t open. Only a grey screen with like a broken image sign and exclamation mark appears. Is there any way that i can recover the images that I took and fix this problem?

Related Problem: Hi, my S7 Edge will take photos ok but when i go to view them i often get a grey image with a square in the middle that has an image that looks like 1 and a half houses and in the bottom right corner of this central image is a circle with an exclamation mark..  i do nothing different (knowingly anyway) when i take a pic so have no idea why this keeps has done the same the few times i have recorded something.. can you help please

Solution: When you see a broken image with an exclamation mark on the picture gallery of your phone then this indicates that the photo is corrupt and can’t be read. You can try to copy the corrupted file to your computer then try to use a data recovery software such as Recuva to fix the picture however this isn’t a sure way to fix the problem.

If you are constantly getting corrupt pictures on your phone then you should check where the photos are being stored. If the default storage location is the microSD card then I recommend that you get a new card. The microSD card that you are using might already be corrupt thus causing the photos to be corrupted.  If the default storage location is the phone then you should consider backing up your phone data and doing a factory reset.

S7 Edge Unable To Save File To SD Card Default Storage Has Been Changed To Device Memory Error

Problem: My phone is set with the default storage for my camera being my sd card, as I want it. However, today it started popping up an error message everytime I try to take a picture. It says “unable to save file to sd card. Default storage has been changed to device memory.” Even if I change it back, it gives me that error and changes it to the device memory again.

Solution: The first thing you need to do in this case is to clear the cache and data of the camera app. Once this is done and the issue still occurs then it looks like you might have a defective microSD card. Try replacing this card with a new one then check if the issue still occurs. If it does then you will need to check if the phone software is causing the problem by doing a factory reset. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.

Should the above steps fail to fix the problem then I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Videos Blurry When Sent By Text

Problem: When I record video on a galaxy s7 edge it looks perfect when you play it again from gallery but when you send it by text the videos are always very blurry and had to make out what the video is. Is there a setting or something that can help that?

Solution: When you try to send a video using MMS the video file size will be trimmed so that it can be sent out. The trimming of the video causes it to lose quality thus it appears blurry. The reason behind this is that carriers have a file size limit on each MMS that you send out. For the Verizon network you will be able to send and receive an MMS with a maximum file size of 1,200KB.

  1. After the recent update to Android 7.0, it doesn’t seem the S7 Edge has the button to take a photo while you’re recording a video. I don’t understand why Samsung took out this useful feature. Is there a workaround to this?
