Note 4 Black Screen Not Turning On After Drop

Problem: So I dropped my samsung note 4 in the break room at my job the case I have is the backing for my phone and it came off I picked my phone up it was still on and working so I put the case back on and put it in my pocket. A little after that I take my phone and try to turn it on and it’s just a black screen and no matter how many times I’ve pressed the power button it just would not turn on so I took the back off took the battery out and put it back in it work turned on for like 2 minutes then went black again again and has been doing it ever since sometimes it will show the white galaxy note 4 welcoming screen then just go black again so I took it home put it on the charger and it popped up the charging symbol then the screen got darker again and if the brightness was turned down and the charging label had a yellow tint through it with with a black line then it went away and brought the regular charging symbol back it did that on and off again and again until finally it started charging and the led light was on and still goes on when I put it on the charger but now that I’ve charged the phone I haven’t been able to get it to turn on for the past 2 hours

Solution: There are two possible things that’s causing this problem right now. It’s either some connection got loose inside you phone or some component has been damaged. Both of which are the result of the phone being dropped. To get to the bottom of this you will need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Screen Crack With Purple Blue Color After Being Dropped

Problem: i dropped my samsung note 4 face down. the top screen is fine but i can see crack beneath it, and purple and blue colour started spreading from the crack spot and the screen is not responding, what is the remedy for this and will i lose any data if i replace the screen?

Solution: Since the display has been physically damaged then replacing this is the only solution. When you replace the display assembly you won’t lose any of your phone data.

Note 4 Has Traces Of Conversation On Screen

Problem: Hello, I was Googled my issue and found you. I couldn’t find that anyone else has the same issue. On my phone screen I can always see trace like some conversation, on the top is little bit darker and keyboard trace. No matter I do on my phone it’s always there. When it’s something white on the screen it can be seen most clearly. Did you hear for some problem like that? Thank you.

Solution: This might be a screen burn in issue you are experiencing right now. To troubleshoot this try the following steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. When your phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Does the issue still occur in this mode? If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. This will erase the temporary data of your phone. Do a restart then check if the issue still occurs.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

If the issue still occurs even after performing the steps listed above then this could already be a burn in issue. The best way to fix this is to have the display assembly replaced at a service center.

Note 4 Screen Randomly Goes Black

Problem: Screen will randomly go black, sometimes up to five seconds, and reload whatever page I was reading. At first it seemed to happen when I was on a specific app, so I just stopped using it. Now, it is happening about every 20 minutes no matter what I am doing on my phone. I can be reading an article, it will go black, reload the page and I have to start all over again. It will do it three or four times right in a row, then nothing for about 20 minutes. Very frustrating!! I’m not do for an upgrade until March, please help!!!

Solution: Try checking if an app you downloaded is causing this problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it. If however the issue occurs even in Safe Mode then the next thing to do is to check if a glitch in the phone software is causing the problem. Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete don’t install anything in your phone yet. Check first if the issue still occurs.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Screen Not Working

Problem: hi got water in the phone call speaker (not main speaker) dried it out and turned on. seemed to work perfectly for about an hour then flickered and lost the display screen. tried all the resets etc but no luck. phone seems fine except screen led and power light up and all noises present.

Solution: You will need to make sure first that your phone does not have any moisture inside. To do this, place the phone in a bag of rice for at least 48 hours. The rice will absorb the moisture inside the phone. Once this is done try to check if the problem gets fixed. If it doesn’t then the phone might have suffered some water damage. I recommend that you bring the phone to a service center and have it checked if this is the case.

Note 4 Screen Is Black But Notifications Are Working

Problem: The instrument was facing problems since last one month like suddenly Gallery will stop functioning. On yesterday the screen went off black/blank. As usual the soft reset was tried several times like removing battery, sim and SD card. The other functions like vibrating while switching on etc and other background functions like default sounding for messages, whatsapp messages and mail are ok. Even the soft touch illuminations are functioning. But the screen remains black. Not able to receive incoming calls etc.

Solution: It’s very likely that the display assembly of your phone has been damaged. This is why the screen is black but notifications are still working. To check if this is the case you should start your phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then this might just be a software related issue in which case I suggest that you do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that this will erase your phone data. If the screen is still black even in recovery mode then you will need to bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
