Samsung officially unveils the ‘Black Pearl’ version of the Galaxy S7 edge

Galaxy S7 edge - Black Pearl

The Black Pearl model of the #Samsung #GalaxyS7edge is finally official. The smartphone will only be sold in a 128GB configuration, however, suggesting that the pricing might be steep. It’s a little interesting that Samsung has decided to launch a variant of the flagship this late in the day, given how close we are to the unveiling of the Galaxy S8. But considering the amount of losses that Samsung saw with the Galaxy Note 7, it makes sense for the company to try and make up for it in any way possible.

There’s no word on whether this particular variant of the handset will be exclusive to a particular carrier or network in the U.S., but we expect more details to follow over the next few days. For those unaware, the Black Pearl color variant looks eerily similar to the Jet Black iPhone 7/7 Plus variants that was shown off by Apple a couple of months ago.
