Samsung to get rid of the physical home button and capacitive keys with the Galaxy S8

Galaxy S8 Bezels

As per a new rumor, #Samsung will scrap the physical home buttons on the #GalaxyS8, thus offering more space for the display. This could, in turn, mean that the handset will have slimmer front bezels, allowing Samsung to get a lot more out of the space. What about the fingerprint scanner? Well, if rumors are accurate, the company could use the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner which can be hidden beneath the display panel.

Fans and experts have been asking Samsung to ditch the physical home button for quite some time now, and it seems like the Galaxy S8 might finally be the device to do it. Bear in mind that this is still a rumor, so it would be wise to take it with a large dosage of salt. Rumors have claimed that the Galaxy S8 will be unveiled sometime in March with availability stretching to April. Given the kind of heat Samsung faced for the Galaxy Note 7, it makes sense for the company to do its due research before bringing out another flagship.
