S7 Edge Won’t Charge After Failed Software Update
Problem: I updated my Verizon S7 Edge through their upgrade assistant and it failed, now my phone wont charge, wont even go to download mode or recovery. When I plug it in a computer a beep just plays and then nothing, it is not detected. When I try to leave it on the charger it just heats up. Please help me. I don’t know what to do. I’m currently living in the Philippines and I can’t ship my phone back to the US for repairs since this was only a gift from my dad. Thank you.
Solution: What you will want to do first in this case is to make sure that the problem is not caused by the charger. Try using a different charging cord and charger when charging your phone. You should also try other charging modes such as charging using the USB port of a computer and wireless charging.
If the issue remains then there are several possibilities as to why this is happening.
- The problem is caused by a software issue due to the failed update
- A faulty charging port
- A problem with the battery.
If this is a software related issue then you might want to try flashing the phone software.
If this is a hardware issue related to the charging port or battery then I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S7 Edge Will Not Turn On
Problem: my edge will not come back on no matter what it was fully charged and then it just started shutting down over and over i think it did it 10 times then it just went blank. no indicator light is on when i plug in the charger cord. any help will be very much appreciated.
Solution: What you will want to do in this case is to clean the charging port of our phone first using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. Next, try simulating a battery pull by pressing and holding down the power and volume keys simultaneously for at least 10 seconds.
If you are still not getting any response then try charging your phone for at least 20 minutes using different charging cords and wall chargers.
Should the above steps fail to fix the problem I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

S7 Edge Randomly Reboots
Problem: hi I have updated my Samsung s7 edge and after it whenever I connected to internet it rebooted by itself and becoming hot and stocking on the Samsung logo so I managed a master reset but after that the phone runs for installing things but at the middle of that it stop and reboot so now I can’t go to my home screen what should I do?
Solution: Do you have a microSD card installed in your phone? If you have then try taking it out as this could be causing the problem.
If you don’t have a microSD card installed and since you have already done a master reset then I suggest you have this issue checked at a service center should the issue still occur.
S6 Edge Does Not Charge With Wall Charge
Problem: Ever since the latest software update, my phone refuses to charge from an actual charger, however it charges through a battery pack or my laptop? I’ve wiped the system cache and the issue still persists..
Solution: It’s possible that the problem is caused by an issue with the charging port of your phone. Try cleaning this port using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris in this port is removed. If the issue remains then try using different charging cords and wall chargers to eliminate any charger related problems.
Should the above steps fail then I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
