S6 Edge Restarting Repeatedly
Problem: My phone is restarting repeatedly in 1 minute and 10 seconds of the first logo, always at the same time. I flashed it several times, but nothing happened. The best thing I can do, was to put Android 5.1.1, and I was able to get the initialization, even wi-fi conf, but nothing more. I thought it might be a temperature issue, but with the reboot always at the same time, it can not be.
Solution: If flashing the phone doesn’t fix the issue then it’s very unlikely that this is caused by a software glitch. You might be looking at a hardware problem already possibly caused by an internal component that is failing to work. If this is the case then I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Does Not Switch On After Marshmallow Update
Problem: Hi, I am usually very hesitant to do any Marshmallow updates because they honestly give me the worst time ever. This is happening for the second time, but I did an update last night hoping that my phone won’t screw up. Its a mess.It wont switch on, constantly reboots to the “Samsung Galaxy S6 edge” page, Wiping the cache partition didnt help, rebooting didnt help. I don’t have any way to backup my data. It’s heating up on one side. And it isn’t a hardware issue because it does go to the recovery page. PLEASE help me. It’s so frustrating and I need the data in my phone. Thanks.
Solution: It looks like a glitch occurred during the update process. Since you are able to access the recovery mode then your best option right now is to do a factory reset in this mode. Take note that you will loose your phone data if you do this step.
S6 Edge Will Not Switch On
Problem: hi. I have the galaxy s6 edge and when I woke up this morning, there was a green light but the phone will not switch on. I have tried the reboots, holding the buttons down etc etc and now, an hour later, the green light has disappeared and the phone will still not switch on. it is about 16 months old. never been dropped, never had an issue with, it is in immaculate condition and is kept safe in a full book cover case.
Solution: What you can do right now is to charge the battery in hopes that the problem is just caused by a drained battery. Before charging the phone you should clean its charging port first using a can of compressed air. Make sure that any dirt or debris stuck in this port is removed. Once the port is clean charge the phone for at least 20 minutes using a different charging cord and wall charger. If the phone still does not turn on try doing a simulated battery pull by pressing and holding down the power button and volume down button for at least 20 seconds. If your phone doesn’t start then you should bring it to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Screen Is Blank But Notification Arrive
Problem: Hello, I have a samsung galaxy S6 edge. The light is flashing to show I have a notification but the screen will not come on. I have tried to reboot as shown about and I have also plugged it in. neither have made the phone respond. Please advise?
Related Problem: My s6 edge suddenly went blank. Tried troubleshooting options and the screen turns entirely green when powered up. I am able to receive calls by swiping the call answering area on the screen, but cannot do anything else. Help!!! I purchased it about 7 months ago.
Solution: Try starting the phone in recovery mode. If the screen works in this mode then the problem could just be software related. You will need to do a factory reset from here. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
If the screen doesn’t work even in recovery mode then this could already be caused by a damaged display assembly. I recommend that you have this checked at a service center if this is the case.
