Note 4 Call Can’t Be Heard

Problem: When I call out or receive a call they can’t hear me. I’ve reset phone, my mic check turned out fine I can hear myself plain on voice recorder and when I plug a Bluetooth set to my phone through jack they can hear me fine. What’s next

Solution: It looks like the microphone of the phone doesn’t activate when making or receiving calls. To fix this issue do the following troubleshooting steps listed below. Move to the next step should the issue persist.

  • Update your phone software.
  • Start the phone in Safe Mode then check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then the problem could be caused by an app you downloaded into your phone. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Try turning off the Bluetooth switch of your phone. This is to verify if your phone is connected to a Bluetooth speaker somewhere.
  • Clean the audio port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris that might be stuck in this port.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete try to check if the issue disappears.

If the above steps fail to fix the problem then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.

Note 4 Call Cuts Off

Problem: Hi. Im using samsung galaxy note 4. I don’t call and receive calls. my local network is ok. When I made a call it suddenly cuts of the call. Sometimes I can call and most of the time I cannot. And this is the first issue.Secondly – mobile phone shuts down automatically. And I couldn’t switch on. So when I remove the battery and then place it, I couldn’t switch it on either. But when I connect the charger cable and then tried to switched on, it does switch on. Could you pls help on this.

Solution: The call issue and the phone shutting down on its own could be related and be caused by some issue with the phone software. Perform the troubleshooting steps listed below to fix this issue. Move to the next step if the problem still occurs.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. When your phone operates in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if the issues still occur in this mode. If they don’t then an app you downloaded could be the culprit. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 4 Loses Network Signal

Problem: hello, I have had a note4 for 7 months now. it always loses the network signal which unables me to make or receive calls. it shows signals. if I restart the phone then it works again for a while. the SIM card works perfectly in my other phones. please help me to find a solution. many thanks.

Solution: There are two things that you should do for this particular issue. First, you should try wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. This deletes the cached system data of the phone which  could be causing the problem. If this doesn’t fix the issue then you should backup your phone data then do a factory reset. Once the reset is complete don’t install anything in your phone just yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this might already be a hardware related issue possibly caused by a faulty antenna. I suggest that you have this checked at a service center.

Note 4 Microphone Not Working During GSM Calls

Problem: hi there greetings i got your email from search engines.. my n7100 has a problem..while making local gsm calls the speaker mic doesn’t work but during internet calls via whatsapp , viber it seems to work fine.. all speaker viber.. or via headset everything is ok.. it’s only during gsm call i can’t hear anything i have change and checked all other sim cards and network.. checked the speaker via *#0*# and hardware is also checked.. can u please advice what could be this problem..

Solution: You should try updating your phone software to the latest version first as this appears to be caused by a software bug. If your phone is already running no the latest version and the issue still occurs then do the following troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Start the phone in Safe Mode. Check if the issue occurs in this mode. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
  • Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.

Note 4 Can’t Send Or Receive Text Messages With Pictures Or Videos

Problem: I’m just curious to find out what might be wrong with the refurbished galaxy note 4 I just got a few days ago. First issue was a charging one. Changed the battery to solve it. Now the only issue is not being able to send or receive texts with pictures or video. After multiple calls to support and even trying another phone in the store no luck.

Solution: To be able to send and receive text messages with videos or pictures you should have an active mobile data subscription. Your phone should also have the correct APN settings.

Note 4 Can’t Add Multiple Pictures In Text Message

Problem: Whenever i try to select multiple pictures in my gallery to send in a text message, it only allows me to select one picture at a time. I have to select one picture. Then go back to the text message and select the icon again to send me back to the pictures, select a picture, then proceeded with the process again to select multiple pictures to send in the text. I was able to select multiple pictures before. I don’t know when it was changed.

Solution: This might have changed when your phone updated its software to the latest version. You should however check if this is caused by a glitch in the phone software by doing the troubleshooting steps listed below.

  • Clear the cache and data of the messaging app.
  • Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
