HTC X10 leaks out in images, one step closer to an official release

HTC X10

The #HTC #X10 has leaked out in a series of images today, suggesting that the device isn’t far away from a release. It appears to be a mid-ranger, which is further confirmed by the preliminary specs sheet that has leaked out already.

The X10 apparently has a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM, and a 13-megapixel rear camera on board. MediaTek’s Helio P10 SoC will handle the processing duties, apparently. What’s interesting about the device is that it doesn’t appear to have a fingerprint scanner. Perhaps HTC wants to cut down costs of this handset to earn more profits per device.

But considering how fingerprint scanners have become a norm in the industry today, this comes across as a bit surprising.¬†However, we’re sure that the device can do fairly well in the market if priced appropriately. It is said that the¬†handset will be priced at 200 CNY or $290 when it is launched.

The HTC X10 was revealed by a filing with the Eurasian Economic Commission, so it should only be a matter of time before more information is revealed by the company.
