S6 Wi-Fi Isn’t Working
Problem: Okay so when I am at work my Wifi isn’t working. It will let me connect to the wifi and says I’m connected but none of my apps or internet will work. When I try to do something it says “network connection failed, please check that you have a data connection and try again.” I have tried the wifi at multiple other places and it works just fine, just not at work.
Solution: It appear that there’s something blocking your phone from connecting to the Internet. This is usually caused by a firewall policy or some other restriction set by your company IT department. Try forgetting your company Wi-Fi connection from your phone then search for it again and connect to it. If the issue still remains then I recommend you consult your company’s IT department regarding this matter.
S6 Will Not Connect To Home Wi-Fi
Problem: My samsung galaxy s6 will not connect to my home wifi. My wifi network shows up and has you tap to connect. But when you tap it takes you to a pages that says Web page not available The webpage: Http://conectivitycheck.gstatic.com/regenorate_2 Could not be loaded because: Net::err_name_not_resolved
Solution: Can your other devices connect to your home Wi-Fi network?
If they can then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below. Check if the issue gets resolved after performing each step. Proceed to the next step should the current step fail to fix the problem.
- Forget the home Wi-Fi connection from your phone then connect to it again.
- Try restarting your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Check if you are able to go online. If you can then the problem could be caused by an app installed in your phone possibly a security app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
If your other devices can’t connect to your Wi-Fi network then the problem could be caused by an issue with the router.
S6 Continuously Drops Connection
Problem: Samsung s6 continuously dropping connection. Can no longer stream music, it will play for 3 or 4 minute and then just stop working. Facebook messenger will work then for 30 seconds say it’s disconnected then eventually connect again. Have had this issue for a couple months since I updated the os. Have cleared cache but same issue.
Related Problem: I am using samsung galaxy s6. Even when i am connected to a wifi and while using apps like facebook it says “can’t connect to the internet” and sometimes its says “no internet connection ” . Even the whatsapp call drops every time. Please help Thank you
Solution: Does this issue only occur when your phone is connected to a particular network? Try connecting your phone to a different Wi-Fi network or try to use your mobile data subscription and see if the issue still occurs. This way you can check if it’s your current connection that’s causing the problem.
If you have verified that the problem isn’t with your connection then proceed with the troubleshooting steps listed below. Move to the next step if the problem still occurs.
- Try to check if an app installed in your phone is causing this problem by starting your device in Safe Mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while apps you downloaded are prevented from running. Check if the issue still occurs. If it doesn’t then it could be caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S6 Enabling Hotspot Turns Off Wi-Fi
Problem: Whenever I try to turn on mobile hotspot it tells me “Enabling Mobile hotspot will turn off Wi-Fi”. How can you use one without the other????? Last week I used mobile hotspot with no issues but now it won’t allow both to be turned on. how do I correct this?
Solution: This error message will usually pop-up if your phone is currently connected to a Wi-Fi network and you want to use your phone as a mobile hotspot. When the phone acts as a hotspot it connects to the Internet using the mobile data chip while the Wi-Fi chip is being used as the hotspot which other devices can see and connect to. This Wi-Fi chip can only do one function at a time so its can either connect to a wireless network or act as a hotspot.
S6 Mobile Data Not Working
Problem: I bought Samsung Galaxy S6. From the time, I bought the phone is not letting me use mobile data. Its working fine on WiFi. But not working on mobile data.
Solution: If you have an active mobile data subscription and you are in an area with strong data coverage then the problem could be caused by a wrong APN setting on your phone. Make sure that your phone APN setting matches your carrier’s APN settings.
S6 Can’t Connect to The Internet
Problem: I unlocked my phone earlier and now it is stuck on the screen that says connection problem and under that it says cant connect to internet and i can’t get to my home screen or anything.. I have tried all the troubleshooting on this website but nothing seems to work. Can you please help me. Thank you
Solution: When you say unlocked I’m assuming that the phone was initially locked to one network and you unlocked it so that it can be used on different networks. For this issue I recommend that you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. If the issue still occurs after the reset then something might have gone wrong during the unlocking process. I recommend that you review the steps that were done to unlock the device. As a last resort you might need to flash your phone with its updated stock firmware. Instructions on how to flash your phone can be found at several of the popular Android forums online.
