S6 Edge Not Completely Charging
Problem: Hi. I have this problem with my galaxy s6 edge, and i know it’s not a software issue. I charges sometimes to 30, sometimes 50 or any other percentage. Also when i let it charge more, it drops from say 45 to 20. Sometimes it says 40 and when I reboot it it says 6 or less. Doesn’t make any sense. Could it be some bad chip on motherboard or something like that? Please help.
Solution: It’s possible that the problem could be caused by a bad battery. When the battery is not able to hold it’s normal charge anymore then it might not charge completely and may drain quickly. Since the battery of this phone is non-user removable making it difficult for you to check then I recommend that you perform the following troubleshooting steps on your phone first to check if another factor is causing this problem.
- Clean the charging port of your phone. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port as this will cause some charging issues.
- Try charging your phone using a different charging cord and charger.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This will allow you to check if a glitch in the phone software is causing the problem.
If the above steps fail to fix the issue then I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Battery Won’t Charge
Problem: Battery won’t charge. It was running low when I installed an app called “sound cloud”. I went to plug it in and realized it wasn’t charging. I plugged in my wife’s s6 and it immediately started charging, so the charger isn’t the problem. I tried the soft reset recommended here and still nothing. I then did the hard reset and yes, you guessed it, nothing. What’s next?
Solution: Since you already performed a factory reset then chances are this issue isn’t caused by a glitch in the phone software but more likely it’s a hardware problem. Start the troubleshooting by cleaning the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris that could be present in the port as this could lead to charging issues. It’s also best if you try using a different charging cord and charger to charge your phone.
If the problem still occurs then I recommend that you have your phone checked at a service center,
S6 Edge Froze Does Not Turn On
Problem: Hi, I was charging my phone and browsing facebook. the charge was at 34% my phone just froze and suddenly went off and since then it refused to come on. i removed the charger and connected it again after a few hours still no response. there is no indication that it’s even charging. Please help me.
Solution: The first thing that you need to do in this case is to verify if the charger you are using is working. If you have another mobile device then try charging it using the charger. Once you have verified that the charger is working it’s time to troubleshoot the phone. Follow the steps listed below to fix this problem.
- Clean the charging port of your phone using a can of compressed air. Make sure to remove any dirt or debris stuck in this port.
- Try charging your phone using a different charging cord for at least 20 minutes. Try moving the cord while it is plugged in your phone and check if you get a response from the device. If the charging turns on and off then you might have a loose charging port. If this is the case then you should have your phone checked at a service center.
- Try starting your phone in recovery mode. If you are able to access this mode then I suggest that you do a factory reset. Take note that this will erase your phone data.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then I recommend that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.

Solution: Try using a different charging cord when charging your phone then check if you get the charging indication. Make sure to test charging your phone using the wall charger and the computer.

S6 Edge Not Turning On After Drop In Beach
Problem: Hello, i dropped my phone in the beach and then grabbed my phone back. My phone turned off so i let it rest for awhile. Two hours later, i tried to turn it on but it won’t, so i let i dry for awhile. In the evening i tried it again, nothing happened so i tried plugging it on charger then the screen blinks showing a charging icon sometimes and goes to black screen again then blinks to charge icon then it suddenly fills up to 100% then off again. I soaked it in a sack of rice overnight, no luck
Solution: If the phone got wet when you dropped it in the beach then the water might have entered the phone and caused a short circuit damaging some component. Since you already placed the phone in a bag of rice which doesn’t have any effect I suggest you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
S6 Edge Restarting Loop
Problem: Having the restarting loop issue. Tried safe mode, even wipe the data; still not working. Now the phone just stuck in a black screen after the samsung logo disappear with the blue LED light.
Solution: Try starting the phone while it is connected to its charger. If the issue persists then check if you are able to start the phone in recovery mode. If you are able to access this mode then I suggest you do a factory reset from here. Take note that this action erases your phone data so make sure to have a backup copy first before proceeding with this step.
If the above steps fail to fix the problem then I suggest that you bring your phone to a service center and have it checked.
