I had buy a note 4 with android version 4.4.4 and after 6 or 7 month my phone start reboot when i use cam so after about 1 years i tried to update from the phone software update but they said ure software is updating in unauthorized way or something like that . U can try to update by samsung kies so i tried kies but also there is no update available so after this . My phone start rebooting randomly every day and reboot himself and after a while it doesn’t boot manually except if i take the battery of and reput so this confused me i take it to a fix store they say replace the battery so i replace the battery and the charger to and after this it start rebooting more and more … so i take it to a fix store and they make a software update to 6.0.1 over box and stuff and yes its perfect software and i can search for software update but it still reboot randomly . I don’t know what to do and i love my phone . Please help !! Kind regards!!
Solution: Since your phone is already running on the latest software version and you have already replaced the phone battery then I suggest you do a factory reset. This will reset the phone to its original factory condition. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing this procedure. You should also remove the microSD card of your phone if one is installed before doing the reset. As soon as the factory reset is complete don;t install any apps in your phone yet. Try to check first if the issue still occurs. If it does then this could be caused by an internal hardware component that is failing to work. I recommend that you have your phone checked at a service center that does board level repairs.
Note 4 Keeps Shutting off By Itself
Problem: My phone keeps on shutting off by itself. Like when I am trying to take a picture or a video when it is not on charge, it just automatically shuts off and it would be at like 77%. Then when I try to turn it back on it wont even go back to the lock screen it just goes into a never ending cycle of restarts until I take the battery out and put it back in. Even then it still does the same thing. I have already replaced the battery on this device. Can you please tell me what i should do in order to make my phone normal again.
Solution: Try to backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This allows you to check if a glitch in the phone software is causing the problem. Once the reset is complete don’t install anything in your phone just yet. Try to check first it the issue still occurs. If it does then the problem is most likely caused by an internal component that’s failing to work. I suggest you have this checked at a service center capable of doing board level repairs.
Note 4 Lagging
Problem: My Note 4 has been lagging for a couple of months now. Every other my phone will work perfect for a day or 2 and then lag for another week or week and a half. I have tried deleting apps for more ram I have tried boosting my phone through another app but everything I have done hasn’t worked. When I open my messaging app my phone lags and then the screen will shut down and I will have to wait a minute. The screen will then prompt me to enter my backup password to re enter my phone because it restarted. This happens a lot. I need help please. It has been doing this for a while
Related Problem: My Note 4 has started lagging ONLY on wake up since the last update. I’ll hit the home or power button and sometimes it takes up to 8 seconds to wake up. Once awake, it operates fine. It will wake up immediately if I hit the button right after receiving a notification. Please help!
Solution: Whenever a phone lags the issue is usually caused by a glitch in the phone software. What you need to do first is to check if an app you downloaded is causing this problem by starting the phone in Safe Mode. When the phone started in this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while apps you downloaded are prevented from running. If the problem doesn’t occur in this mode then it could be caused by an app you downloaded. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the issue still occurs even in Safe Mode then do the troubleshooting steps listed below.
- Wipe the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode.
- Backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
Note 4 Shuts Off On Its Own
Problem: My note 4 has been shutting off by itself, I got it just recently it was a used phone by my uncle he gave it to me because I made good grades all year but after one day of using it it shut down automatically at 14% And when I rebooted it turned off again repeated that until I plugged the charger in. that was my way of doing it for about 2 weeks and then stopped shutting down for a week or two but just today it did it again at 20%
Solution: Try to check if the phone still shuts off on its own when the charger is connected. If the problem doesn’t occur then you should get a new battery as it’s very likely that the battery is causing the problem. If the phone still shuts off even with the charger connected then you should proceed with a factory reset. This allows you to check if the phone software is causing the problem. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
If after the reset the problem still occurs then you should bring the phone to a service center and have it checked.
Note 4 Freezes
Problem: I have a Galaxy Note 4 Unlocked. The original carrier is Verizon, and I am using it with my T-Mobile sim card. My first issue is that the phone freeze sometimes and it’s very slow. I tried to uninstall most of my apps but it didn’t change anything. The second issue is that if i get a phone call while i’m already talking over the phone, my phone will drop my call (regardless if i answered the other call or not) and doesn’t allow me to receive or make calls for a minute. My 3rd issue is that while I’m making a call, my dialer isn’t responding. Hope you can help. Thanks a bunch !
Solution: The best way to deal with these three issues at once is to do a factory reset since this appears to be caused by a software glitch. Just make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
Note 4 Overheats Freezes With Buzzing Sound
Problem: My note 4 overheats, freezes, sometimes there is a buzzing sound, and keeps restarting on its own. I charge my phone twice a day. I decided to buy a new battery. I did factory reset already. But I still have the same problems. Can it be fixed? Thanks.
Solution: The overheating and buzzing sound is an indication that a hardware component has failed to work. This can be fixed however this appears to be a hardware problem already which means that it has to be checked at a service center.
