Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) now getting Marshmallow in Europe

Galaxy A3 2016

The Dutch wing of T-Mobile is now sending out the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to the #Samsung #GalaxyA3 (2016) starting today. The update is long overdue as many would argue, but customers will be glad to know that it’s finally live.

Coming from Lollipop, Marshmallow will definitely come as a massive upgrade. With Android 7.1 Nougat currently in development via several manufacturers, one would imagine that the update wouldn’t be far away. But considering the fact that Samsung prioritizes its updates for the flagships, devices like the Galaxy A3 (2016) will probably have to wait a long time before seeing Nougat.

There’s also the fact that Samsung hasn’t confirmed the update for its budget and mid-ranged handsets, so we’re not holding our breath.

If you happen to live in the Netherlands and own the Galaxy A3 (2016), make sure you head over to the Settings page to pull an update manually.
