Update to Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 edge enables FM radio

Galaxy S7

#Verizon is now sending out a minor firmware patch to the #Samsung #GalaxyS7 and the S7 edge. While there aren’t a lot of noteworthy features on board here, the update finally enables FM radio support on both phones, which has been long overdue. The company has bundled the phones with the necessary hardware, but it has taken them this long to actually enable it. Pretty disappointing to say the least. The update also comes with support for the company’s Barcode Beaming Service.

So if you wanted to take a break from your busy life and enjoy some radio on your VZW Galaxy S7 or the S7 edge, you should be able to do so thanks to this update. While users were able to play tunes on the radio before, it was only using internet based services.

The updates bring the firmware versions MMB29M.G930VVRU2APG5 and MMB29M.G935VVRU2APG5 on the Galaxy S7 and the S7 edge respectively, so keep a note of that if you’re expecting to see it on your devices.
