Some units of the Nexus 5X supposedly facing reboot issues after Nougat update

Nexus 5X

The #LG #Nexus5X has started receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update not too long ago. However, everything is not as smooth as the company expected. It is being said that the update has some bootloop related issues for some users, rendering the device practically useless. Possible solutions include reverting back to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow or simply reinstalling the September security update on the device.

The issue has been acknowledged by Google as well, although this has been deemed to be a hardware issue, basically ridding Google off any responsibility. Google’s support page says the following –

We understand that a very small number of users are experiencing a bootloop issue on the Nexus 5X. We are continuing to investigate the situation, but can confirm that this is strictly a hardware related issue. For those of you that are currently experiencing this, please contact your place of purchase for warranty or repair options.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued patience.”
